I'm in Love!
When I built my main site, I did it using Frontpage and, later, with Expressions Web - probably the worst tools ever invented. They have both caused me all manner of difficulties over the years.
To get the functionality I wanted on the site, I have added bits of php and javascript and had to do a lot of HTML by hand. It has been very tedious indeed. But, when I started, tools like Drupal, Joomla and Wordpress simply were not available.
From reading what others on this forum have said, in the past, about Wordpress, I knew that I would try it at some time. The problem was, I was too busy building my site and my system to spare the time necessary to think about learning something new.
How I wish I had tried Wordpress sooner!
For those starting out, I would recommend the 2010 Weaver Theme - it's a brilliant theme that can pretty-much give you any look and feel you want. I managed to get the exact look of the rest of my site by using it.
And I am simply bowled over by the Plugins that are available. In the past, if I wanted to add a feature to my site, I would have to spend ages on Google looking for a script, and then go through a learning curve to get it running. But with Wordpress Plugins, I have added some fantastic functionality with a few clicks.
Here are the best Plugins I have found ...

I have never heard anyone on this forum talk about the eZinearticles Plugin (it's in my list above) but hey, this is going to make my life so much easier.
Wordpress ... shall I compare thee to a summers day?
er ... sorry, a bit of Shakespeare creeping in there. But, anyway, I love Wordpress.
