Everyone selling Clickbank products, more or less, has a way to tell you, and chances are none of them are going to be any better or smarter than anything those gurus told you. The cold fact of the matter is that you have to learn how to do it yourself - you can get a coach, read every thread on this board, and still not make a dime. If you walked into a store and asked "how do I sell a candy bar" they'd have an answer. A different store would have a different answer. The point is that the 'how to' is the question you're going to have to answer - either way, we all want the same thing, to sell the 'candy bar'. I know how you feel and I completely agree with you that the internet is filled with so called guru's who really don't have a clue especially when it comes to driving traffic. I may have a solution your problem. I am not sure if you have ever heard of a course called the traffic voodoo. I would bet many people within this formum have not only heard of Jeff Johnson but have hudge respect for him because he able to put his money where his mouth is when it comes to generating traffic. Not has he made millions promoting his own products he specializes in affiliate products which include clickbank. See Jeff Johnson is a multimillionaire several times over and has made his living driving traffic to other peoples stuff. Whats is unique about Jeff's training program is that he shows you tools techniques that drive primarly free traffic to your blog, website or affiliate links but donesn't foreget how import using paid traffic is.
Unfortunatealy Traffic Voodoo Closed at the beginning of the year however he has recently released Traffic Voodoo 2.0 Unstoppable Traffic that goes through his 11 non stop traffic sources. If you click on the link he has a series of free videos that explain the 11 sources of non stoppable traffic and provides realtime examples how they work. Take a few days and just create a solid 10 page report with good information, that’s more than enough! You can also outsource it if you want.

This a great start for building a list in order to make money promoting Clickbank products and to be able to promote other clickbank products over and over and over again.

I feel like you may have the wrong idea about affiliate marketing, especially since you've bought several "autopilot traffic" products which may have misled you into thinking that there is one product out there that is going to magically set everything up for you with very little effort on your part.

Yes, it is entirely possible to make a living promoting affiliate products (not just Clickbank, but also amazon, commisson junction, CPA offers, etc.)

The bad news is that there is no autopilot solution. As some of the others have mentioned, you have to do proper niche and keyword research, and then set up your site. You may not always rank organically with SEO techniques, and if that is the case you'd have to do additional work in driving targeted traffic to your site, and that can include youtube videos, article marketing, social bookmarking, social media traffic, etc.

This is all going to require work and dedication, and I just thought I'd give you a rough outline of what you have in store for you if you want to make this work. It is definitely not going to be a pushbutton solution, but nothing like that exists (despite the salesletters you may have read that swear up and down to the contrary).

2. An optin form on your website to collect emails.

4. Register with Aweber so you can look at your statistics of how many people are wanting your free gift, ebook, etc.Once you have built your list of let say for example 1000 customers. We go to step 5

5. Send an email to your list of the affiliate product that you are promoting.

6. Just make sure that in your emails that you have your affiliate link to the specific product you are promoting. When customers click on the link and purchase. you also get paid.

Clickbank is a great way to find products to promote. As everyone is saying, the easiest way to sell clickbank products is by building a list. Once you have a list you can promote an affiliate product and have an instant audience to hear your pitch.

So, everyone has mentioned the power of building a list and I agree 100% that this is your best option. But I am going to discuss another powerful technique that you can use with your list building. Hopefully this will help you get some organice traffic from the search engines. . .

Create a review style blog . . . You find products you like or have used from clickbank that fit your niche and you include detailed reviews of them, listing both the pros and cons of the product. If you do this in an honest sincere way you will generate some sales. Whats cool is you can also send your list to these reviews or once you do a new review . . . OR you could even do a video tuturorial on HOW to use this product with a link to purchase it.

Mr process is pretty simple, and seems to work ok. Offer a decent free product or service, and let the customers come. I don't advertise or anything like that on the site until it has over 1000 customers/members(I only do subscription model based sites for affiliate marketing) then once I have 1000 members/customers Ill likely add affiliate marketing onto the site usually by the ways of forum posts, recommendation articles, or even a product similar to mine that can be classed as an upgrade. Then once a month, or occasionally bi-weekly I send out emails to customers with some promotions. I don't force it too hard, and I simply play a numbers game. eg. For ever 1000 customers I have, I think I will get at least 5 customers buy a product a month. If I build that up to 30,000 or even 100,000 customers(which I have done) then I'm looking at 150-500 product buys a month. Based on an average commission of lets say(being fair here, no over estimating) $3 per sale the I'm looking at $450 - $1500 per month.

That's a fairly simple run down of how I do things. Of course I optimize a lot more and have had varied success, with some bringing in $5000 a month for a few months, some only $200 a month. In this industry, its all about just giving it a shot I guess.

Create your own product using keywords in your niche. eBooks, Mp3s, CDs, etc. Plenty of Internet gurus like Christian Mickelsen, Kathleen Gage, Cindy Battye, Janis Pettit, and Jeff Dedrick tell you how to do this even if you don't consider yourself a writer.

Promote other people's products to your list and in your information products; just make sure the quality is great or you will lose credibility.
