What is the easiest and fastest way to make money online, and whats the learning curve?

Hey I'm somewhat new to IM and I'm hoping to use it as an extra source of income. Ideally, I don't expect to make millions, but I would like to earn enough to not have to work a day job. Any tip, tricks, or secrets would be helpful. I don't have a lot of money at the moment but saving up to invest in something that works is no problem. Thanks for your time.

    Kamikazee,

Be prepared for a million and one different responses here. No matter which method you decide to apply your efforts towards, there will certainly be a learning curve....skill and experience can definitely make things 'easier', but, by that, I mean that you will learn more efficient and effective ways to earn using the method you choose.

There are several areas of IM that require little to no startup cost. Unfortunately, it is that very reason why those areas are so incredibly competitive. The skill and experience comes into play when doing such things as picking titles/keywords for articles.

You could invest hundreds of hours writing articles that could earn you little to nothing, or, with the right research applied before hand, you could earn significantly more off the back of 5-10 articles. Article writing is so insanely popular for several reasons: 1) Content is essentially the lifeblood of advertising (yes, videos are becoming increasingly popular, however, the written word is incredibly strong, as well) 2) It is so versatile....you can do so many things with articles....and, you can earn in many ways, as well. (Adsense? Affiliate marketing?)

I don't think of 'easy' in the same way as, I'm sure, many others think of it. Hard work will be had in whatever method you choose, however, 'easiness' will come when you pick up tools of the trade, skill, and experience.

      x3xsolxdierx3x,
Thanks for the response. I think affiliate marketing is going to be the right thing for me. But I think/know the most challenging part, is going to be getting ranking on google. I'm pretty good at writing content myself and have no problem writing the articles, but as you said I don't want to spend hours only to come up empty handed. Even though being rich would be nice, I really don't need a lot of money. Just enough to pay rent, eat, and go out once in a while. So Ill keep researching. Thanks again for your time.

I'm a strong proponent of using free Web 2.0-based websites, however, many IM'ers here disagree with my approach and philosophy. While I don't technically "own" the sites I use, the trade off is that I gain tremendous search engine authority that has been pre-established by the efforts of a collective userbase providing quality content over time.

Some absolute HATE any method that would result in reliance on something other than yourself....using a free site vs. building and developing your own site/purchasing your own domain and hosting/etc.

In everything you do, though, diversification will be key. Many here rely on Warrior Forum WSO's for their income, while telling me not to rely on free Web 2.0 sites, however, I remember quite well how this forum itself has had serious technical difficulties in the past....resulting in the forum being unavailable for almost entire days. In anything you do in IM, IMHO, there will be some kind of reliance on external resources/forces.

Just like the stock market, spread yourself out as much as possible. Use free Web 2.0 sites, develop your own site/blog, create your own product, etc...do it all.

If you have an existing blog, you can start with Google Adsense. If not, you can create one. You don't have to get your own domain at the moment if you don't have the budget for it. There are several free blogging platforms for you to choose from (such as wordpress.com and blogger).

Blog about the topics you are most interested in and put a lot of effort on the seo (on page and off page). Income through adsense is not much but it's the start. You can also try affiliate marketing, preferably in the same niche as your blog.

          Good luck

Well, it's definitely a good sign on your part that you say you're good at writing articles and have no issues with doing the work. What I'd challenge you to do now is to keep learning and improving your article writing skills, and then committing to writing a solid 3-5 articles (or more, depending on how much time you have) everyday with unwavering consistency.

When it comes right down to it, article marketing is a numbers game, and you need to accept that. Some of the most prolific article marketers who profit consistently from article marketing have hundreds or even thousands of articles published on ezine articles.

The key is consistency. It's not going to be easy and it may get pretty tedious, but if you commit to this over several months I have no doubt you'll see tangible results.

There is so much you can do online to earn extra income. You could offer services in anything you are good at, you can create digital products to sell, you can set up a website and earn passive income through adsense, you can can sell other peoples products ( affiliate marketing)... and so much more.

The best thing to do is take your time and research the many different possibilities and decide on what is the best "fit" for you. IM can be very overwhelming for a newbie, so watch out for information overload ( Speaking from experience here!)

The easiest and fastest way is definitely the im2im market - selling other marketers methods to make money online.

Its not nearly as profitable as 'real' internet marketing tho, but its definitely easier, which is why you see so much of it here.

Fiverr I hear is actually quite good, especially if you have a service that is in high demand. If you're artistic, expect a lot of gig requests. And yeah, I couldn't agree with you more about the offer being completed fast, especially if you receive a mountain of requests.

          I'd recommend fiverr to anyone.

Start off by offering services to other marketers. You'll essentially be earning to learn, and you'll be able to do your own things on the side until you build a sustainable income.

I would look into buying a warrior for hire thread and offer to take some of the heavy lifting tasks such as backlinking - content syndication - or other services that would make a nice little income for you

Since you've just got into the Internet Marketing game, I would highly recommend you dive into Affiliate Marketing.

The reason is simply because you can make a suplementary or even a main income from affiliate marketing without having your own website, your own product, your own list, etc. All by just working on it part-time.

Affiliate marketing is basically you promoting a merchants website and they give you commission on the sales you generate or the click throughs you send.

There are a number of methods that you can use to make money from affiliate marketing both on and offline.

Some methods include using your own website, a merchant's website if you don't have one, mailing lists you have built up, ebooks, reports, blogs, video blogs, forums, PPC advertising, local media advertising, and custom software.

And so, I suggest you try out affiliate marketing, because it can be highly lucrative for you, you won't have to create your own product, and can be quite fun as well.

    Hope this helps.

Dude, try this Actually dont "try it" -- do it -- I know it works!

Pick a topic, if youre unsure, head over to the clickbank marketplace. Dont sweat the numbers at this point too much, youre just looking for a subject.

Lets say you decide to go with goldfish as a topic.

Head over to the google keyword tool, and put in your primary keyword, in this case, it would be "goldfish"

I havent performed the actual keyword research here, Im just thinking out loud, so bear with me.... (the basic steps still apply)

Lets just say that "how to care for goldfish" gets 1,200 exact phrase searches per month within Google. Thats a nice start. Avoid the big numbers at this point, as a beginner, you just want to get your feet wet and avoid the big boys.

Go to google.com and type in your primary keyword...

    1. As a phrase "how to care for goldfish" If there are less than 30,000 competing site (results) then its a goer, if too many more then forget about it, start over with a different keyword. Its too competitive.

    2. Do an allintitle search allintitle:how to care for goldfish - if there are less than 1,500 results - get cracking!

Take that phrase, then head over to Godaddy. If possible, register the exact phrase as a domain name. eg how to care for goldfish.com - understand?

Then put up a simple site, focusing specifically on that phrase "how to care for goldfish"

Put the phrase in your title tags, description tags and H1 tags.

    THEN....

Backlink the hell out of it - using "how to care for goldfish" in your anchor text.

The rest should take care of itself.

Remember this is just off the top of my head - I may have, and most likely have missed a few smaller points.

    Good luck.

      Great advice, let me add.

presell the vistor, making them "warm" before they hit the clickbank sales page.

People don't like being sold to, instead frame a buying attitude in their mind about how x did y for you and z amount of time. etc. Offer super valuable information.

That way they will already be warm to buying before they even hit the clickbank sales page.

Also make sure the Copy is good for whatever product you are promoting.

I feel that building your list is the main foundation into making money fast and easy.

I think this is the easiest way and fastest way to create a huge income online.

Just grab a few plr articles and books and do some rewriting to make it unique as your own.

You can set up a squeeze page and give away this book or report away for free.

Essentially you get traffic to the squeeze page and waalaa. Just make sure you use the proper methods to target your subscribers to keep your unsubscribes lower.

I am a fan of building Amazon product websites because they are fairly simple to get running. Once you have a site done and ranking in the search engines (which is easy if done properly), you simply sit back and collect a check each month. Although you usually can't replace a full-time job with a single website, it's rather easy to do so if you build a handful of them.

I have a thread about How to Find a Niche Market that you may find helpful.

Kamikazee, I'm going to tell you what I wish someone would have told me when I started this over a year ago.

    1) Have both a short term and a long-term plan for making money online. For example, I offer SEO services to get people's sites ranked via this forum and have then used short-term income (though if you're good to your customers this will ALSO become a longterm income stream) to buy other services and outsource my long term plan, which is promoting clickbank products.

    2) As mentioned above, there are a lot of ways to make money online... but really only one of them matters, and that is whatever method YOU make your business plan. Most people will tell you to build a brand but my honest advice is a good balance of quantity and quality.

Say you decide to go the route of promoting either clickbank or amazon products. Don't obsess over making one site perfect, just put your head down and do work. Get that site filled with content, build backlinks to all of the pages, then move on to the next site before waiting to see results. As long as you have income from your day job or your sort term plan we discussed above, you can afford to keep pushing forward without worrying about whether your sites are making money yet. I say this because ranking a website is long term and I've found it's best to have a new product to promote/website to work on to distract you while Google finds your backlinks to your first site and starts to rank it for the keywords you want.

NOT EVERYTHING WORKS: I have a website in the tiredness/get more energy niche that I thought had designed beautifully and had a great setup from, and is getting 4,000 visitors per month. I'm lucky to make a few sales from that... you will get some duds. It sucks, but you have two options (to leave it or modify it) and I take a hybrid approach. I completely revamped that site and think that I can do a lot better with it now... but at the same time I'm not gonna sit around refreshing Clickbank or obsessing over daily click through rates until I have a lot of evidence to go on.

As far as individual guides, don't believe the hype most people use to promote their make money online guides. In fact, I will give you the EXACT steps I'm putting in place (full time) this december and then into 2011.

    1) Offer a service in the Warriors for Hire section here.

    2) Make a website for a niche with CB products, the main page will focus on getting the visitor to opt-in to my Aweber mailing list through a free giveaway, after that they will receive a series of emails with free information and some mentioning of my product.

    3) For each keyword in my niche, I'll make a new webpage for it that will be listed in the sidebar. At the top of each page will be a brief product suggestion with my affiliate link, then an article, and at the bottom an offer to opt-in to my mailing list or read more about it on the home page.

    4) Use my short-term money to get tools like Magic Submitter and Build My Rank to allow me to rank my pages quicker and speed up the SEO work.

    5) Create another website and do the same thing each and every month.

Is it perfect? No! Will people tell me my opt in isn't in the right place or my plan won't grab the best conversions? Sure they will! But obsessing over every sentence, word choice, etc. doesn't make you nearly as much money as just DOING.

As I've said before, if I have a 15 page website, and 10+ of those pages reach page one for their keywords, each with an affiliate link/product suggestion and an opportunity for the visitor to join my list... there's no way I'm NOT going to be making sales.

Pick something, stick with it, repeat it.

Not sure what responses this will garner in regards to how good my plan is, but ultimately it doesn't matter because, once again, YOU are your biggest obstacle and your biggest supporter.

    - Brandon

    These are very sound advices,
I have been a learner and NOT an earner for longer than I care to admit. Partly because I’m working 3 jobs but that’s no excuse for not “JUST DO IT” already.
I plan to start with affiliate marketing to get a feel for internet sales process; create small reports to build a list; build up my blog for credibility; learn to create “how to” videos as my future products.

easiest and fastest way to make money are generally conflicting goals

faster it is... the harder it is, for instance doing some freelancing. Very quick, but requires you to work hard with no potential for "passive income"

easier it is... the slower it is, for instance just throwing up a site and letting the income from that trickle in over the next couple of years

At first, I would focus more on learning than earning. Reverse engineer successful products and see exactly why they did what they did. Remember they likely tested the hell out of everything to come to their process and never look at that lightly or judgementally. Some of the worst designed sites I have seen make more money in an hour than some marketers do in a year. Ask yourself why? why? why?

Then find the market that is paying you $1 a day. Now start to apply what u learned and test and refine and learn more and apply and on and on. Pretty soon the dollars will start to flow and you can then apply that same knowledge u spent so much "time" (instead of money) to learn to make the big passive bucks.

The easy and fast way is to forget about looking for easy fast solutions.

Focus in on ONE skill...one area and get really good at it.

It could be SEO, pay per click, article marketing, social networking, affiliate marketing, marketing with online video, copywriting...it doesn't really matter.

What does matter is that you get highly skilled in one area as a base so that you'll have a skill with real value.

And understand that the sooner you commit to developing some real skill the easier things are going to get for you.

Also instead of focusing on making money first focus on looking for ways to deliver real value to others.

When you're delivering value it becomes a whole lot easier to charge people based on the value you deliver.

      Kindest regards,
      Andrew Cavanagh

P.S. The learning curve will depend on your level of effort and committment and your ability to be objective and adjust what you're doing as you go so you get some real results.

For most people it takes somewhere between 1 month and 2 years to start making a full time living from their internet marketing.

Seriously committed people usually do it in under 3-6 months of hard work.

If u want to turn time into money to pay for startup expenses, webskills have never done me wrong. This includes graphics, page layout etc. Setting up sales pages for higher-end marketers will have two purposes: to fund more and to learn more from the experts.

I have no agenda but to help those in the same situation. This I feel will pay the bills.

    Hi,

First let me say: There is no fast and easy way to make money.

Rome was not buildt in one day, neither is online marketing.

But the posibility to build a business with 6-7 figure income is not only a dream, it is reality.

I think the best way for a newbee is finding a site that gives lessons and a blueprint to follow, that's what got me on the right track of online marketing.:p

    Best of luck
