I'm looking for a site/service where I can upload pics, sort them into galleries (thumbnails that can be clicked upon, then the view gets larger), then the site/service give the html code for embedding the gallery/galleries I created.
What's a good, free, web-based site that will do that (with a minimum of ads, etc.)? Thanks! -- TW |

This is the most popular free online photo gallery hosting service right now:
Welcome to Flickr - Photo Sharing If you want to host your own photos & run your own gallery, I would suggest Gallery2 or Coppermine Gallery Hope this helps! - Jared |

I tried flickr -- I don't see where they give the code to embed a particular folder/gallery.
Please advise. Thanks. -- TW |

Photobucket is very good. You might also have a look at Webshots...they have an embed feature also.

I like villagephoto.com and imagecave.com
Been using them for over 8 years now. Very reliable, easy to use and lots of excellent features. Image Cave also offers a free blogging service. They also produce the codes for html, bulletin boards and automatic thumbnails. There are lots of new features on the newly revised site that I haven't tried yet, as well. |
