Rank dropped in google...

Hey every1, Been lurking for a while and obsorbing the mass amounts of info, this is my first crack at IM. Heres my questions:

1. I ranked on page 1 slot 2 for my keywords in about a week(low traffic words) and for some reason today I dropped to pg 13, what gives? I have written a few articles, used IMautomator and Socialdr to get some backlinks. Did I get penalized for something?

2. Are backlinks and getting your pages book marked the same thing?

3. What exactly is an RSS feed?

Thanks for any help.

    1. It can be just google dance, give it a while and your site will jump back up

    2. bookmarked can be considered as backlink but its just one way of getting backlinks.

    3. Its a feed that display on your blog activity. The url extension usually ended with .xml or /feed

Thanks for the quicky reply. I was a lil frustrated when I went to pg 13, lol. When people talk about "spamming" backlinks what exactly constitutes for that label?

If you just created a site a week ago and have over 1,000 backlinks then that would indicated that you are spamming your ways through to obtaining those backlink. Natural backlinks usually grows very naturally and slow.

Just keep doing all of the white hat techniques Google is looking for and you'll recover. Google is a fickle lover so be patient with her.

    To your success!

Don't forget to keep filling your site with new contents because once they come back and your site is still the same as it was couple of weeks ago, they wont like it.

      Thanks for the tips.

When I have an article on my site, how many times can I submit that same article to to search engines and such with backlinks to my site?

Can I book mark another article on my site, or since the site is already bookmarked with a search engine, I wont benefit?

I will pit the dancing shoes on for the "google trot".

    1. You have failed to appease the great Google god and he is angry. You must strip off at the next full moon and sacrifice the golden chicken with a silver knife. This is your only hope.

    2. This requires testing. You bookmark your sites 100 times. Then send 100 PR 4 or higher to my sites. Lets compare.

    3. Rotten something something.

Seriously dude. I know you are noob, but that is what the search tab is for. And after that, spend a weekend learking through 50 pages of past posts. You will go from noob to lurker in no time just by putting in some effort. I could answer your question or I could have some fun, smack you about the head and tell you how to find the answers. I choose the later

I totally agree. Adding content helps a lot, especially if it's a blog.

It is really cool to watch, actually, how quickly my views go up (almost instantly) once I publish a few new articles/posts or even ONE new post.

When views start to go down, and I post a good post, they go up almost immediately. I'm always wondering who they are and how they find out about this so quickly...

And then, when I REALLY want to bump up my views, I just need to repeat on a daily basis and they go up nicely.

Of course, I also do other things, like publish articles that link to my blog.
