Default Need help from a joomla/css expert

My page was created using joomla 1.5. I used a template, but am having difficulty with it. The template has an option that you can access through: Extensions-->Template Manager-->(the template) and then under 'parameters.' It allows me to set the default page width to, either: 1024, or 800.

Right now I have it set to 1024, but I want to have it on 800.

When I first used the template, it was set to 800 and the modules on the left hand side of my site (the testimonials) loaded fine. Then I changed it to 1024 for a while, and when I tried to change it back, the modules were all sqooshed in the 800 mode! I spent hours trying to figure out what it was in the code that was making the modules load that way. I even tried re-installing the template! To no avail...

Under parameters, I have the 'Left Column Width' and 'Right Column Width' Both set to 200, which was the default.

Does anyone have any clue what is going on here??
I would be so grateful if I could get his fixed!

did you get this fixed? The page looks fine to me. I see you are using just one column now.

yeah it looks fine in 1024, but I want to get it to work fine in 800 (the page width is slimmer and it gives the site a better feel, makes it easier to read.

I like what you have in the 1024. I know thats not what you wanted and it doesn't solve your problem.

As for your problem. I think when you went to the 1024 the content in the center adjusted and then when you switched back to 800 it didn't adjust properly. Since you reinstalled the template and it didn't fix anything, I'm guessing it has to do with the content in the center.
You might have to play with that and see if it fixes things.

Did you change any width settings via the css files or did you just use the default "switch"?
