How to Find Affiliates?

Lets say I were to put up a product on Clickbank, run some Adwords ads to it to figure out conversions/optimize the conversion rate.

How on earth would I go about finding affiliates for this product? Seriously. I don't even know where to begin. I would really appreciate it if someone could just point me in the right direction.

Thanks,
Neill

That's a good question. This is what I would recommend:

Find a few blogs in your niche. Comment on those blogs regularly in a way that contributes value. By doing this, you can catch the eye of the blog owner. After doing this for a little while, contact the owner of the blog, letting them know that you appreciate what they are doing. Tell them specifics of what you got from following them.

Seek to contribute value at every point of contact. By nurturing relationships with these individuals, you can build to where you can ask them if they would consider checking out your product, and even promoting it as an affiliate.

Another way would be by participating in forums. The main concept is that you want to nurture relationships, contribute value and work your way to where you can ask them to consider promoting.

However, it's good to test it our on your own traffic first so that you can calculate you conversion rates and how well your campaigns are doing. That way, you can approach them on a more professional level, showing them that you've done your research. For example, if you can tell them that you are experiencing a 10% conversion, and give them what the average visitor value you are receiving is (e.g. $0.85 per visitor), that will show them that you know what you are doing.

    Hope that helps!

There is a section here on Warrior forum where you can put your product, I'm not sure how much it costs to put a thread in that section.

You can also set up a link in your signature pointing to an affiliate page for your product.

Is your product on Clickbank yet? Has it been launched yet?
