Default Autoresponder & Email Copy Experts: Tips to Create a Responsive List?

Yo Warriors!

Many of you have been using autoresponders and other forms of email marketing for years.

I'm putting together a series of messages, and I thought I'd pick some Warrior brains first.

What are the best tips you know of which help to create a responsive list?

What about length and content? Do people prefer to be sent:

  • Anything else?
All insight encouraged.

In my own experience, I've found that sending out high
quality information that's relevant to subscribers tends
to work best.

I go for a 80% content to 20% promotion split and often
have no promotion at all.

I know that there will be other more agressive marketers
who'll pipe up and say sell 'em hard from the start and
keep e-mailing them until they 'buy or die' - but I don't
like that approach.

Be yourself and communicate intimately from one human
to another.

Gain their trust and build the relationship over time.

It's a marathon, not a sprint!

The best mix and format for your autoresponder series
and e-mails will depend upon what your target market
prefers.

Ask them what they want and then give
them it. Test it out.

Throw something out there and get feedback on it.

Test your way to improve as you go along.

Dedicated to your success,

Shaun

Yeah. I've been quite surprised at how aggressively Stephen Pierce has been trying to push his book without offering much in the way of usable info.

Personally, I don't like that method. 'Value in every email' is my motto.

I'm just trying to see if I can get more insight into what works.

Thanks Shaun.

The sell 'em hard method may work better - you'll need to
test with your list to find out.

I don't care if it selling 'em hard works better and increases
conversion rates or not.

What's important to me is how I operate my business and
who I choose to be in interacting with my subscribers.

Others will have different views on this and that's fine.

Choose your own way and test things out.

Dedicated to your success,

Shaun
