If you're going to host more than one website, go with the Baby Plan. It's enough to get started hosting multiple websites.

If you are planning to have just one domain for sometime, go for Hatchling.

You can always upgrade to baby plan as and when you need more domains - without any hassles.

    I agree with IM Queen,

your just starting out so most likely you are just starting out with one site so the hatchling plan would most likely be the best decision for you.

It depends on your current needs. If you're planning on hosting only one site for the foreseeable future, then choose the Hatchling plan. However, if there is even the slightest possibility that you may be putting up more than one site, then go with the Baby plan. It only costs $1 more if you pay monthly, and will support unlimited domains. I think it is the better deal by far, and I'd only choose the Hatchling if I was absolutely positive I'd be dealing with only one website/domain for a while.

GoDaddy and Namecheap are both good places to get domains. Also GoDaddy have a promo right now, get a domain for $1. I think the code is ATTACK

Hatchling if you want to have a single domain which is recommended, after that you can try to upgrade later if you can make another site.

You should definitely start with the baby plan. It's suitable for a beginner to intermediate users. I'm running 3 blogs on my baby plan and it's running smoothly...

The difference in cost between the two is not even worth talking about ($1 per month if you're on the monthly payment plan), so if you have even the slightest intention of setting up a second or third website, definitely go with the Baby plan.

Go for the Baby plan. You'll host more than one domain name soon. Google for a 1 cent for first month coupon. Search for 'hostgator coupon december 2010' (no need quotes)

Even if you somehow messed up and picked up the Hatching plan instead, I'm sure you can easily upgrade to the Baby plan as needed with a minimum of fuss.

Ok..good decision stanford. The easiest way I think and works for me during my early day in IM is namecheap.com. Buy domain from there. here's how you can buy .com at 9.28 dollar only.

1- register new account with namecheap.
2- search for the domain you are looking for.
3- If available, click add to cart button.
4- then, you search for the coupon...example
type at google.com "namecheap discount code for {this month] [this year]
5- copy the coupon code then paste at the coupon code box..
    6- then click express checkout.
7- fill in the details (your cards, and etc..etc..)
    8- you done!

    Hope it Helps
