Help with Article Marketing

Hey guys, i have recently started promoting clickbank products and i have a couple questions on using articles to get traffic back to your website.
When writing an article, do you guys just write whatever is on your mind? i know it would be better if you can get your keyword to be in the article.

I would imagine that writing 2-4 articles a day on the keywords based around your website can get very hard. Would writing relevant articles about your keyword/niche be advantageous towards articles that are irrelevant to the niche even if you placed keywords in the article?

Is there a popular thread or WSO that can get me started with article marketing as a way to get traffic for promoting clickbank products?
Feedback would be great. Thanks guys

Some people will write articles that have nothing to do with their niche and include a link back to their site and swear by this method. This will still gain you backlinks.

However, the advantage to writing keyword specific articles is that when you get visitors reading your article, they are more likely to click on your link and visit your website than if the link is not related to the article.

So you can write articles that aren't relevant and gain backlinks or you can write relevant articles, gain backlinks and also gain some extra traffic from your article readers.

Or you can do a bit of both.

If you run out of ideas on what to write about your niche or keyword, then try finding some good PLR articles on that niche and rewrite them - that always works well to give you new ideas and it doesn't take long to rewrite articles.

I used to write whatever was on my mind at the moment, and did get a little bit of success. But now I only write articles related to the site I am promoting. I do think it helps a lot to write about the niche/topic of your site instead, no matter whether you are writing articles to get clickthroughs or to get backlinks. If people are reading an article that is very relevant to your niche, they will be much more likely to click the links in the about the author field to get more information. And if you are using articles simply to get backlinks, then writing articles related to your niche should make the backlinks from your articles a least a little more effective, since google likes backlinks from content related to your niche.

This is easy as long as you have the time. It takes time to write articles. Just set a goal and meet it. Try to write 2 or more articles per day. You will get results if you are consistent. Stick with keyword specific articles and use Micro Niche Finder.

I haaaate writing articles. But I've come to terms with the fact that if you're going to get into affiliate marketing, you better start getting good at writing articles (or good at outsourcing).

If you hate it as much as I do, check out Elance.com to get your articles outsourced. You can get 500 word articles for around $3 each. Keyword optimized and all that jazz too (although the grammar usually ain't the best).

If you're trying to crank out 2-4 articles a day, don't overthink it too much. I was having a hard time in the beginning because I was writing as if I were writing an essay for an English class. Just let it flow.

My writing skills are proficient. I am in college and we write essays in English all the time and getting an A is cake. I do feel like i can do well with articles but i would MUCH rather prefer outsourcing it. Have you guys had a lot of success outsourcing articles that are related to the product you are trying to sell? ie. a clickbank product

If you outsource your articles, what are the chances that you can get a keyword related that can drive a decent amount of traffic?

If anything, I think that college mindset might hinder you at first. College expects so much more out of you than the real world, but in a different way.

What do you mean by "what are the chances you can get a keyword"? You do your own keyword research, then when you outsource your articles, you can specify exactly how you want your article written. Exactly which keyword to use, how many times you want it sprinkled throughout the article, etc.

The articles can be loosely related to your niche. Expanding a bit will make it easier to think of article topics.

If you're just looking to build links, I guess the content doesn't matter too much, but I'd personally avoid going too far off topic.

Writing an article is one thing, but getting your article POPULAR is another thing.
You might want to also create backlinks (with proper anchor text) to your articles to make it popular in search engine.
