Why you should start building your social networks

There are many changes going on through out the internet these days. One of which is google. As many of you have seen google has started showing screenshots of the sites when you click the little magnifying glass. However have you noticed one more thing google is getting ready to add. If you do a search now for a keyword you have been promoting through the social networks. You would have noticed that google is placing these results on the front page. Now I am not sure as if google will be keeping this around but it should prove vital to those who have been building their social networks for some time now.

Naturally this is just one more way of helping out the little guy to get started on to their fame and or fortune. Athough this does no good if you have not been building your social neetworks or just over looked their full potential. So if you want front page results with little effort on your part go build your social networks like twitter or facebook. The more fans you can get through these networks could bring you many front page results.

    Hi Petevamp, you are right and not only Facebook, but also Tweets are coming in Google News related to the keyword. If it's only for a few seconds or so, if it is a high volume keyword as for example video game, and you tweet something with this keyword you can get visitors via Google news.

    I'm a big fan of Twitter; I used to think it was a ridiculous waste of time but I've grown my Twitter following exponentially in less than 2 months. Facebook is more "fun" but so far it doesn't seem to be adding to my business.

    People have been abusing it already - but Google is still drooling to take advantage of the social explosion any way that they can since they haven't been able to gain any traction with their own social attempts.

    I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see Google come up with some sort of social aggregation network soon - basically a social network comprised of all social networks. I think that's where they're going with all this.

    This new change of Google is helping people. For example: If you search on Google with the keyword "make money online". The same thing appears that you saw about 2 years ago. Same money making website and tips & tricks. But if you want different result for that keyword then facebook and twitter will help you certainly.

    I have always stayed away from social networks cause I found them so time consuming. But recently I came to appreciate that they can be very valuable for building backlinks, so I plan to make web 2.0 a consistent part of my online marketing efforts, starting this month. In fact, I am busy setting up my accounts to today.

    Your post above gives me added incentive to see this not as a "time waster" but as a "business builder". Thanks for the tip.
