      Hi,

      This isn't software, but -

      Amazon movers and shakers

      Shopping.com consumer demand index

      There are many problems related to looking for a software, or some other second-hand method of finding out what's 'hot' - one of which is that if it's easily accessible to you, so it is to others (the masses). Therefore you will all be funnelled into the most competitive niches, by design.

      Conversely, if YOU develop your own, unique method of establishing what's 'hot', this problem is eradicated and you are actually giving yourself an advantage, a head start.

      Software is often just a way to automate a task. Unfortunately, many sellers of software will claim that the software has some secret ingredient that makes it amazing when in fact it can be bog-standard, basic and constricting. So in this instance, it's actually better to manually create a method of your own and then if your method turns out to be amazing, you can have it turned into a software program yourself and be the ONLY person using and automating that method.

      There are some aspects of business (or complete businesses) that you can just copy. But taking that step into the unknown, and heading out armed with a notepad and pen and a search engine and designing your own specific method of niche hunting can not only enable you to find relatively untapped niches and golden opportunities, it's also a fantastic training exercise.

      Initiative + creativity >= ability to copy x 100

      Hope this helps.

    I dont know of a specific software that searches the sites themselves but you can go to Amazon look at their "most wished for" or "best selling" and check out the products on those pages. Once you find a product you like try these two methods:

    1) On the product description page, scroll down to the "Product Details" section. Under "Amazon Bestsellers Rank" you will find categories that go from broad to narrow. If you look at the rightmost category you'll find additional product categories to work with.

    2) Toward the bottom of the product description page you will find a section called "Tags Customers Associate with This Product". Not only do you have product categories there suggested for you but if you select the one or two categories that best reflect your product, you will most likely find other products.

    Hopefully this will help give you some ideas for products and product categories. You can then go to Google Adowrds Keyword Tool and input that info as your search terms and the results should give you some good keywords to target.

    Good luck!
