Advise me on article publishing sequence?

I often wonder about the best sequence to publish my articles. I post my articles on my site and also EZA and two or three other sites where I get lots of readers and backlinks.

I used to just publish everywhere simultaneously. But doesn't this mean that I won't get credit for original content because the big article sites will probably get spidered first? Won't it look like I've just published content from an ezine?

I'm thinking it's better to publish the article only on my site until I know it's indexed. Then I can publish it elsewhere and still get the backlinks.

Does this make sense? I'd like your opinion. Thanks.

I personally believe that this is why a certain "top" article directory is so tough on publishing content that is already on your site. They make it so hard that you just give up and publish to them first, therefore giving ownership of the article to the directory (in Google's eyes).

Put it on your site first and wait for it to be indexed! If you write consistently, you will only notice about a week delay in getting back on your submission schedule.

Here's another way to handle it...write one article for your site, another one for EZA, and a third for all the other directories.

And doesn't EZA require unique articles, anyway?

No - they just require that you wrote the article. It doesn't matter that it is posted elsewhere as long as you can prove that you wrote it.
