Yes, that's right. You will not see that money for some time. I would keep working on this vigorously.

First there is the minimum threshold, then the time lag, then there is the 5 different payment methods clause, and don't forget about the dollar a pay-period dormant account deduction, and then the processing fee, and then that extra annoying fee that is taken right before the check is sent. Clickbank is reliable, pays on time, but those extra little 'events' means that sale is not going to be Christmas money, and is going to be a smaller payout than you hoped.

It is definitely worth your time, and once you meet that threshold and get those prliminary requirements out of the way, and you get a few paper checks, you can go on to instant deposit.

As far as Christmas money goes, I would find a local storefront that did not yet have a website and offer to do a simple website for them for a reasonable price. You could also charge for setting them up in Google places. Or give away the Google places listing as a bonus if they hire you. If you are a hosting reseller, you could also host their website for a monthly recurring fee. You could also charge a small monthly maintenance fee and do regular backups and small changes for their site. It has worked for me. It is one of my business models.

I received my first clickbank sale promoting links on traffic exchanges. Has anyone had luck with traffic exchanges. I am looking for better alternatives. :confused:

I second that, webwire seems to get your press release a lot of addition exposure (in comparison to the free sites). Congratulations on your first sale, just remember that affiliate marketing is a slow and steady process, and you just have to do the work consistently (especially if you're just using free traffic/methods) and build up your income over time.

If you're in need of quick cash, I'd suggest offering services where you can get paid instantly. You seem to write pretty well and you've mentioned that you are doing press releases, so I think that offering article writing services would be a perfect complement to what you're already doing, and this would allow you to pick up some quick cash that you can actually spend for the holidays.
