2 emails a day can actually multiply your profits? See proof here...

Hi guys,

Not sure if you've read Russell Brunson's email recently, but he mentions about his close friend Daegan Smith who is emailing his lists at least twice a day...

And Daegan has the proof to show how it's skyrocketing his profits versus not emailing his lists daily.

You may read about Daegan's controversial blog post here:
How Often Should You Email Your List? | Daegan Smith

This has got me really thinking. What do you guys think?

Cheers,
Michael

  • If its good content, then definitely.

John Alanis sends out an average of one per day and sometimes two and his fans are absolutely ravenous for his material. If you haven't heard of him, get on his list. It's well worth it to see how he provides exactly what his list wants day after day in a non-IM niche.

I think it depends on how well those twice-daily emails match the expectations of the list members. If his profits are truly 'exploding', then the match must be pretty good.

My guess is that these folks know from the beginning that they're going to get pitched early and often, and they stay and they buy because that's what they want.

On the other hand, if you sign up for "Aunt Freda's Weekly Quilting Tips", odds are you expect a weekly email about quilting. Suddenly filling your box with at least 13 more offers than you signed up for - especially if they're unrelated to quilting - would have most people scrambling for the unsubscribe link. Or the 'Report Spam' button.

Another factor will be the skill level in crafting those twice-daily emails and matching them to the desires of the list members. Sounds like Brunson's buddy is doing okay in that department, too.

But if you do it like many people try to do, using all the finesse of driving thumb tacks with an eight pound sledge hammer, it might not work as well.

It all boils down to setting and meeting expectations...

The key to success with this kind of method is being informative and entertaining, and not drowning your readers with product offers. To pull it off, you absolutely must consistently provide high quality content in your emails. You really have to connect with your subscribers in a way that makes them hungry for more emails from you. Otherwise they're just going to get tired of seeing your name filling up their inbox and will unsubscribe.

If you can't provide quality content in one or two emails per day, you absolutely should not be sending one or two emails per day. You should be emailing only as often as you have something valuable to say to your subscribers.

      John

  • I think it really depends, and of course just test.

If it works, keep doing it.

Twice a day and I'm off a list, but I don't stay on lists very long except a very few. Thing is ... there's some lists I should be on because I bought a product and clicked on email me when you have an update thing. The list owners then proceed to bombard me with offers that I have no interest in, so I unsubscribe, even though I would like to be notified when there is an update. There isn't anything that anyone has to say that I want to hear twice a day. More than twice a week and it's adios.

Yes he is and I'm on Daegan Smith's list, but it has gotten to the point now that I don't even read his emails. I'm not sure if the content is but I get so much email that to read 2 emails from him a day is more then I can handle...

So in reality he isn't even reaching me anymore

As long as you are not burning your list to the ground using affiliate links and doing nothing but shove shove shove, I can't see how this could be a bad thing.

If you are producing good content, then some of your list members will appreciate a twice a day mailing, but most will jump ship. Those that appreciate your efforts may turn out to be the most loyal buyers, but your list will definitely dwindle. The folks that are touting this method likely get thousands of new subscribers a week. I don't recommend this for somebody with a small list.
