just starting up for the 1st time:

I have a hosting with HostGtaor now. in process of getting a domain from GoDaddy.

question: do i need to have a type of product in mind from Amazon, plus a domain name ready to go before i buy a domain? or can i name it afterwards?

i'm about to start Amazon Affiliates up and i'm not sure which comes 1st: the domain itself or the idea of it's content

finding a good .com domainname for the product you want to sell will be a pretty hard task Red, because most domains are taken, you wil have to be very creative with finding a good available domain... i don't know what product excactly you are going to promote, but might want to choose a domain that is in that niche and not specific for that one product
oh and a suggestion : if you try to find a suitable domainname , try nameboy.com , you can put in keywords and it will show you a list of available domains with that or those keywords

    Good luck

Idea first. Then domain. Or research first...then domain. No point buying your domain first if product is crap and not selling...

yes, lol sorry i so misread your question the first time,
best is to find a domainname if you know what product you will sell ,
pointless of having a domainname about books if you are going to sell heaters

Well you can't buy a domain if you don't have a name. So if you're going to buy a domain it's best to know what you're going to do with it or sell on it.
