I want to do a Press Release for my first product launch that will be taking place in a few days. I plan on typing up a press release statement to distribute to PR sites on the web.

I would just like to get some thoughts and opinions on this type of traffic creation for a product launch? What are some good PR sites you would recommend? Anything I should know before I do this/tips?

Thanks Warriors!

    Hi Nathan,

Danielle's right...there IS a ton you have to know to write a press release.

Be sure to thoroughly research the *correct* way to write one OR either (1) you won't get accepted by the PR submission sites (2) you won't get traffic/build backlinks if written wrong.

And of course, you can always check out my well reviewed PR software in my sig below

    Best of Luck,

Prweb.com, prnewswire and prlog.org are good. Simply do a search in google.com for the top Press release distribution sites. They get your information out there really well.

    Hi Dani,

Controversy and Innovation always create buzz. If you can come up with a controversial Title and a compelling Story then you will surly get lot of PR syndication. Although it’s a rule of thumb still you will need a bit of luck to go viral.

I will strongly recommend you to submit your PR to prweb.com

      Dmaind,
Thank you. I'm actually well versed in writing press releases, however, Dana Wilhoit is the Warrior Forum resident expert on more than just writing them. She was a journalist, and she's contributed some extremely valuable information on the subject to this forum. Anyone wanting to use press releases should search out her threads, read all she has given, and then if they need more advanced material, seek to purchase the products that fill in the gaps.

    hey Nathan,

Check out Daniel Tan's WSO on his Backlink Syndication method.

We've used it ourselves and it rocks. It is not just a great method or simply a list of PR sites ...instead it's about using PR sites that syndicate your releases so your press release spreads on its own accord with other sites picking up your PRs and republishing them.

    We're talking backlinks galore!

    Enjoy,

    Michael

Either you can go for paid press release distribution like prweb.com or you can submit pr to all free pr websites. There are many people here that are offering PR writing + distribution for $30-40 else you can do it yourself but it will take a full day.

pr web is the best in my opinion.

Why not hire someone to manually spin your press release and submit variations of it to various PR sites manually. If you have more sources of traffic, then you get more traffic.

    I love Press releases
