How to hire a credible marketer

I hired marketers two times and wasted almost $800
Both promised that they have a large databse of lists of Entrepreneurs and Marketing managers to sell my proposal(my product is getcustomerz dot com) to.
But both proved to be liers.I hired both on per hour fee basis.

Now I am looking for third one.I just posted project on vworker.I fear I will again face fraud.

How I can make sure that the marketer, I am going to hire has required datbase?

First thing I would try, before even considering someone saying they have a large list, is to check there Alexa traffic amount. If you don't show a lot of traffic on there then you don't have ANY list that I'm concern about.

You might hear others disagree with this theory, but I have NEVER had any problems partnering, or picking a good JV, using this as a first measure before even continuing further with a site.

  • What are you hiring them to do on an hourly basis?

If someone has a "large database" (by that, I assume an opted-in list) then they aren't likely to be the ones jumping at the chance to get hired for an hourly, menial chore.

You'd likely be better off contacting some list owners and working out a promotion of some sort. You won't get many bites on a straight commission-based promotional blast, but if you offered to rent the list you'd certainly get their attention a little more.

Also, you could simply try buying some ads in ezines from directoryofezines to get you started.
