Ok, you can probably find a cheap one at the store since your just starting out. But I absolutely love using Camtasia Studio 7 for my videos. I have tried Camstudio, didn't like it but i was free and another store bought software that had some bells and whistles that eventually weren't worth the time to figure it out.

And the best part of Camtasia is it will post to YouTube for you. AND you get the added benefit of making really high quality videos.

If you want to promote your site. You can start by using your webcam to record videos where you are talking and giving info on online jobs. You'll record it in a way that you'll give some info but not all. And it's the most effective type of videos for generating traffic, than screen recording, you showing up on camera and talking raises the value instantly.

Eg: The 7 Best Online Jobs... (or whatever, because you said it's online jobs)

Just talk about 2-3 and after that you'll direct them to your website for the best 4, 5, 6 and 7.

For the complete info, they'll need to check out your website. You can start by doing that, if you reach a level to do screen capture videos, you can use free screen recording software like Cam Studio. Once you have enough money to invest, you can get better ones like camtasia. I haven't tried camstudio, but heard that it's as good as camtasia.

      Hope it helps...

I haven't ever used Camtasia so can't really comment on how good it is, but do you really need a whole load of bells and whistles?

Check out BB Flashback, they have an excellent free version and their pro version is great. Plus, it's a heck of a lot cheaper than Camtasia.

If you're using a PC you can get started with the included Windows Movie Maker. But you'll need some source video to import in unless you're just going to do title screens.

If you just want to trim and cleanup the video, VirtualDub works really well.

There is a whole slew of video editing programs out there but if you've got the budget Adobe Premier & of course Camtasia get top marks.

You can get source video using camera phones, web cams, flip video cams and even many still picture cameras will do video.

Another program I like is called Slide Show Movie Maker:

If you want to get fancy with promotion videos, you can check out animoto at Animoto - The End of Slideshows

Simply upload images, sequence them by drag and drop, select music track, and it will put together professional looking videos for you in no time for just $5 per video.

I think BB flashback is the best! Because I can mold the video in whatever way I can.

Not quite sure what you mean by 'moulding' the video, but glad you like BBFlashback. I think it's head and shoulders above many of the free screen capture softwares out there and for the most part of what you are likely to need, (unless you're planning on doing videos in a big way) their pro version is just fine.

Honestly don't know why it's not more widely used.
