Speech to text - what do you use?

I am looking at a purchase of macspeech dictate (as I am using a mac) for making it easier and quicker for creating my articles. Well, I hope it will be quicker and easier anyway .
What I would really like to do is try a trial of the software but as far as I am aware there aren't any trials on offer which is a shame as its expensive to shell out on something you are not too sure you will get the full benefit from.
Does anyone know of any free alternatives to the macspeech?
Also, how many other marketers use a speech to text software for creating articles?
Regards

I use Dragon Dictation on my phone. It's also available for the PC or Mac too.

Yep, Dragon here too, though on Windows - I guess there is a Mac version too.

It really works - a far cry from when I tested it about 10-15 years ago and it was coming out with gibberish! For certain kinds of text it is a real timesaver.

Doesn't work so well with highly specialised terminology, or ones which mention a lot of proper names that it doesn't have in the dictionary - though even there it regularly surprises me!

Who says you can't earn money as an eBay affiliate any more? My stats say otherwise

  • Another vote for Dragon. Love it. Been using it for years.
