Good Or Bad News: Which of These Sells Faster, Better...?

I think that bad news sells faster than good news but I don't know why it's so. Maybe it could be that people are curious to know why the bad incident happened and how they could avoid it from affecting them. Maybe it's because of fear.

I think the newspapers and magazines are great examples.

I don't know but I think that bad news sells faster, better than good news.

What do you think?

    It's down to human motivation.

People will do more to avoid pain than they will to gain
    pleasure.

There's a saying in the newspaper industry that says...

    "If it bleeds, it leads"

I'd prefer it to be otherwise but human nature, is human
    nature.

    Dedicated to mutual success,

When people are in fear it is easier to manipulate them.

Bad normally goes viral instantly. However, if people realizes that it is crap it shutdowns. Good, in terms of interesting and revealing news will become viral and people often stick to the next updates!

People will do more People will do more to avoid pain then they will to gain pleasure. So if you’re selling something that helps someone avoid pain it will motivate more than gaining pleasure.

    Example:

7 steps to find true love
    or
11 steps how not to spend your life alone

Which one has the biggest impact on you?
to avoid pain then they will to gain pleasure
