Wordpress Squeeze Page Template And Conversion Help?

Hi,

im having some real trouble getting people to opt in to my mailing list. I am in the self confidence building niche and im wondering if anyone could help me out a little

I think I need a new squeeze page and was wondering if anyone knows of a high converting squeeze page that I could "reverse engineer" for mine. Im offering a free step by step confidence building guide and think I make some good key points for my offer in bullets on the squeeze page. I need a good wordpress squeeze page template if thats possible (one thats free to.)

But for one reason or another my opt in rate is very low. I have had I think 4 opt in out of like 60 people who have come to my site. My traffic is coming from ezinearticles and articlesbase only. My articles are all about raising confidence and self esteem yet none of these people are opting into my mailing list.

    It's kind of surprising to me that more people don't actively split-test their squeeze pages. As a rule, I start with 4 and will keep making new ones until it plateaus, to a certain extent.

    Here's a good tip: do some googling around in very competitive niches and click through the adwords ads. When you land on a squeeze page from one of those ads that has been there a few days (yeah, you'll have to track a little) then you know its doing well because to be in that spot takes money. When you have a few of those to work with and see why they work, you have a nice set to get some really good ideas from.

    I don't have to tell you not to directly copy though, right?

    To be honest, I don't think that a squeeze page template would do anything about your conversion.

    In my experience it is never about the template. It is about the offer! And how targeted the traffic is...

    You can put an optin form on a blank, white page with a good headline and a few points and it will convert IF the offer is irresitible and the traffic is targeted.

    Thanks Stream! That is a good idea and I will give it a go. I just don't understand though what im doing some wrong. I made a list in the gardening niche and was getting a high opt in rate of like 50% or something.

    In the self confidence niche im getting like none lol. Im just wondering if it could be the niche?

    I figured that Istvan actually. But my traffic is targeted and im supplying the best ofer I could ever imagine. I guess I need to start looking at some of my comp like suggested above. Isn't there a good, clean and simple squeeze page for wordpress I can use? I have looked without much success so far because I need a free one.

      The no optin guide in my sig shows you how to make ANY html page/file a WP Page template and use it in WP.

      I said the "white" example based on experience. For my WP 3.0 report I have 3 squeeze pages that look almost the same (it's just different traffic sources) and the conversion rates for unique visitors are
      89%
      82%
      75%

      Even if I look at the display/submission ratio the results are OK:
      68%
      79%
      86%

    LOL Istvan I actually did consider that some of my visitors my be too insecure to admit that they are insecure and join my mailing list,lol. So your saying I just need to get your wordpress 3.0 guide right? Thanks a ton

      Not really. For using any HTML file as a Page template in WordPress - get the "no optin" guide (the last link in the sig).
