Making Money with Dream Cars in the header

You may have seen the websites with pictures of fancy automobiles (Dream Cars), 10 bedroom homes (Dream Homes), etc. They do what they are supposed to do. Make you dream of having something you do not have and this leads the dreamer to buy.

That type of approach I absolutely abhor because it always seems so fake when the product is an ebook for $27 that explains (some even promise) how to become a millionaire with a secret method, etc. Those that explain that the product has the potential to make money and not a word about becoming a millionaire aren't so bad. At least there is no false promise.

Well, yesterday I was forced to buy a used car to replace one that my son crashed (he is fine). The thing is I bought it with the money I made this past year in Internet Marketing. This is the first time I used some of my Internet Income on a large purchase. Almost $32,000.00.

Later, I was looking at other peoples websites and saw the Dream Car logo which as we know is a subconscious tactic to convey to the visitor that they can have it too if they buy the product.

And you know what?

I realized that it is actually true in "my case" because I did in fact buy my "Dream Car" with my own Internet Marketing income! I did! And after realizing this I had to take a moment for myself. A long moment. This realization made me re-think my own past stance about the Dream Logos I always considered fakes just to trick people into the sale. Yes, there are fakes out there (you know it) and now I know that they all can't be fake.

After many years of stomping around this very forum and in "my own mind" criticizing other marketers that use the Dream Logo..

I now have to step back and regroup because it really is true in some cases.

Jeffery 100% :-)

They turn me off. I've never been interested in those cars or estates, for one thing. Those that use that header seem uncreative and unable to come up with a better header or no header at all other than a headline. The pages seem to me targeted to the lazy and not completely intelligent market who believes that money can be made without working ... huge amounts of money.

We all know that some marketers are able to buy all the little toys they want from their marketing efforts, but that kind of sales page just shouts wanna be marketer to me and I leave.

That advertising is a turnoff for me. I don't like people who flaunt their wealth. Maybe it's because I personally know people who do and find it extremely obnoxious? I am not well off by any means. The display evokes feelings of pity towards them if that is how they need to define themselves.

In any event, it probably all depends on the intelligence, personality and circumstances of the person viewing it.

It would seem to me that persons with lesser capabilities could be very impressed and more likely to buy their product. Those more secure would pass it up.

Good for you that you can buy your dream car with your earnings! That's a job well done on your part.

Great story. Great yearly income online too! I guess in your case it is true but honestly, it's tacky.

I would only ever use dream cars and dream homes if my product was directly related to a car or a house.
