How to make $1,000 dollar a day?

by 132 replies
Heh, I just blew through $400 dollars and wasted 1 month of my time trying something that failed miserably. Really hard on morale. I'm 18 and got my diploma last year. I can't pay for college and was hoping that IM would work out. I was thinking of doing Amazon associates and writing reviews, but I'm no writer, so I'll probably outsource it. What are some good ways to make money online?

$1,000 dollars a day on Amazon associates would mean that I sell $25,000 dollars worth of goods a day (4% Commission). That's over 7.2 million dollars worth of goods a year.. sounds like a pipe dream really.

      Welcome Kan

Aiming for $1,000/day is attainable, but it will take some time to get to that point.

You would probably move up to the 8.25% bracket, which would cut that figure in half, but it would still be extremely difficult.

      Start off small.
      Make DAILY goals.

I would recommend buying 1 product in the WSO section that specifically lays out a step by step method. Make sure this product has good reviews and is in your price range.

Follow the guide to a T and start building from there.

Not a pipe dream at all. Amazon dors billions in sales every year. You just need a small percentage of sales to get to 1k a day. I'm not saying it's easy but it is definitely doable within a couple of years.

Loosing money and "failing" is never easy, but, find comfort in the fact that you didn't loose nearly as much as others have in the name of a learning experience. I know it's "relative" to the person, however $400, and 1 month wasted, isn't really that bad...

I had a learning experience once that cost me around $18,000...it could always be worse

You say you're no writer, but are you able to re-write pre-existing Private Label Rights articles? Find some free (or cheap) PLR, re-write at least five articles in the next few days and find relevant Clickbank or CPA products/offers.

Post the article with those links (cloaked with bit.ly) onto Articlesbase or GoArticles. You won't make $1,000 a day straight away but it's a proven way to get started.

    Yo Kan,

If i was you this is what I would do (low investment version):

    1) Find a niche with several offers, either click bank or other networks (maybe something you enjoy writing about)
    2) do some KW research, find a longer keyword that gets at least 10K EXACT searches a month or more (use SEO Book for FireFox to check out competition)
    3) Out up a free wordpress theme that matches similar feel / look to other sites in the same niche that are successful
    4) add quailty unique content, either that you write or pay someone too
    5) SEO the hell out of it with free wordpress plugins and other onsite SEO
    6) Build Links, you can but them or do it yourself
    7) Add an aweber form to collect emails ( prob need a good incentive, maybe get creative here)
    8) Have 2-7ish follow ups ready to go that give good content on your topic
    9) `Review`one of the products you found before and then place your aff link inside
    10) Repeat 8 and 9 other and over again
    11) Research next KW and optimize for it
    12) Send me some checks in the mail for the help

I agree - what a great plan! Also, you can use Youtube videos to drive traffic to that wonderful newly-created Wordpress site or to an optin page. Kristie Chiles from Georgia

Hey I Know the feeling of blowing cash you don't have to spare. When I lost my job 2 years ago I wasted 4k to have someone teach me how to invest in real estate without having start up capital. Needless to say it was a waste of time and money. What she taught me I could have learned off the internet in 2 hours. My advice is to never pay for something again that you can probably find for free.

$1000 a day would be hard to achieve. Try start making income online
first, if you haven't already. Then work on ways to improve your strategy.

some good words of advice, it's not about how big your business is, but how great your business is.

I enjoyed reading all of your posts. Thanks.

By the way, How much should I expect to pay for a quality product review article?
  • Profile picture of the author Kan
Hmmm, I might try this article marketing stuff. The thing is I don't want to buy a domain, because I want to write more then 1 niche. I was thinking I either put the product aff link in the article on the article directory (I don't know if this is allowed), or I will make a blogger blog with a redirect script to product page.

Well, there's no way around getting a domain name - the article directories require a top-level domain name, so a product affiliate link will not be accepted. What I suggest using is .info domains if money is tight, as they're only 99 cents each at Godaddy. Even if you were to target multiple niches and use 10 domains, your total cost would only be around $10 to pick up the .info domains, so this is pretty inexpensive.

One must learn how to walk before learning how to run.

Aim for 1000$ a month first, bro.

Yea the 1000$ was just a figure, I don't expect to make that in a day starting out, that's pure delusional thinking.

      Exactly.

In fact, to begin with I'd just aim for my first dollar online. Making just one buck online proves that money can and will come in; after that, it's just a question of scaling up.

Listen. I might be the first one to be honest with you here. After scrolling past all the ebooks and "get rich here" links. You WONT jump right into making a grand a day. Start out slow and work your way up or will will only end up quitting.

Build something you like and make money off of it. The more you know the more you make. you'd be surprised how much your knowledge is worth. Dont lose sleep at night trying to dream up ways to get rich. Get some sleep and change your intentions. It will be your biggest investment yet.

Then put that product on a webpage and create a video that explains what it is, that will be your sales video. Then make an affiliate program for it and start getting affiliates.

$1000/day would be hard.. extremely hard. You will need to think big.

Starting off with affiliate activities will take you a LONG time to get to where you want, I would be building your own products and getting affiliates to promote them for you.

Depending on how entreprenurial and dedicated you are, your goal is possible.

There's no easy route.....its about being a "warrior" and never giving up until you reach your goal. It always boils down to 3 steps....(1) have your own product, plr is a quick way to help create your own, (2) set up your profit funnel.....your site, payment process, one time offer, opt in page, etc....(3) drive traffic until you get your first sale!!! ....its a numbers game!....use all the various types of traffic methods available...and stay the course! ....And force yourself to stop looking for that "holy grail" of making money online......because i just gave it to you!....=)

Never put all your eggs in one basket, you should try signing up to other affiliate programs like clickbank.com, pepperjam, shareasale just to name a few and if your into promoting physical products from amazon you can also try ebay affiliate program!

I believe Daniel Brock's new launch was largely about making money on Amazon. Not gonna refer you to the site as I don't even remember the URL at the moment.

Making $1000/day at Amazon would take a long time, in my opinion. You'd have to have several sites, hundreds/thousands of articles, backlinks and videos up to help you drive traffic. But it certainly could happen. The thing about Amazon is if you choose to promote higher priced items you can get better commission fast and typically there's a high conversion rate as people love to buy physical products online.

There's probably also a few good WSOs out about this, I remember one by this lady warrior but I can't remember her name.

I suggest you do a search in the WSO section for any WSOs about Amazon and really do your research and read a lot before deciding if it's a good one to buy. Just do your due diligence and don't buy on impulse. If Amazon affiliate commissions are really the road you want to go down someone who's been there and done that could really help you out.

If you are in immediate need of money then run services. And by that I do not mean article writing - you already mentioned that you are not great at writing articles. But check the Warriors For Hire section carefully and you shall realize that with another $100-odd you can start a service quickly enough, break even and start making profits! Not $1000 a day, but something much more realistic to being with and much more than enough for your college fees.

Work on Something that you enjoy everyday, little goals equal big success.

Saw your post. I can only tell you what worked for me. I tried the affiliate stuff with Amazon but I did not like it because it was too boring for me. I would spend hours per day posting affiliate links all over the internet. Still do this but I don't do it as often. I look at it as an addition to whatever it is I make. I do agree with some of the others that have told you to create your own product. Create something that you enjoy. If you do this you can not only make money but have fun doing it.

I sell small stuff on the internet using facebook as a marketing tool - everything from Tshirts to some rather silly stuff. I saw on TV once how that guy who sold the "bubba teeth" was a millionaire. I took inspiration from his story and decided to do it myself. The secret is to find that one product that people want.

      Good luck!

Like many others, I will also suggest that you should steer away from Amazon, if you are targeting $1000/day. It is a pretty big figure and Amazon's commission structure won't allow you to reach there so easily.

You need to start by aiming for $1000/month. This is a realistic figure for a newbie and is achievable. I would suggest you to go the affiliate marketing way. Promote products from ClickBank or PayDotCom or any other network. You can also choose physical products from ShareASale or CommissionJunction.

These products offer good commission rates and you can actually market them better. Along with the promotion focus on building your list. If your affiliate marketing can put you at $1000/month then your list will place you at $1000/day.

    Good luck!!
