Is there a similar system to PayDotCom that accepts £

Hi,

I am setting up a program and I want to recruit affiliates etc.

The program is based in the UK and targeted towards UK buyers. I have looked at setting up affiliate programs at Clickbank, PayDotCom and Click2Sell but they only accept payment in dollars.

I am looking for a similar company but one that accepts payments in £ - GB Pounds.

Does anyone know of a company that does this?

Thanks in advance

They accept payments in any currency at all, by credit-cards and/or through PayPal.

    Payments are converted between currencies.

At Clickbank, UK customers even see the order-page price displayed on their own screen in pounds.

The internet is international. Credit-card companies are international. PayPal is international. This isn't an issue at all, these days.

Even if you used a company that doesn't accept payments in pounds, I would of thought we are all used to seeing and paying in US dollars?

I'm from AUS but whenever I see a price online, I always assume it's in USD not AUD - unless I'm on an AUS website of course.

Why don't you POMS just get with the program and start using dollars. We managed to do it...

But you're not very good at cricket and we like to be different.

Seriously though, I am aiming at the UK market and it's really irritating to get a product priced in dollars. It hints at 'unprofessionalism'.

Thanks for the info on Clickbank. I'll go with them.

Unprofessionalism? If you'll excuse the observation, I can't help wondering whether you might perhaps, at least to some extent, be projecting your own attitudes onto your prospective customers, in that regard. It's certainly a highly unusual reason for which to choose Clickbank, anyway, but I wish you success with it!

The first and third quotes are based on the premise that every person in every country in the world is either an Internet marketer or a global shopper. Sorry guys, you are wrong in your assumptions.

I don't know the niche of the op, but if it is country based, then potential customers will want prices in their own currency - something that they use every day and can understand - period.

Transpose it to normal off-line shopping if you can; would you like to visit your local store and then be asked to pay in a foreign currency? I think not.

          Just my thoughts,

          Jeff.

Without getting into a big war of words here - no I don't think I am "projecting my own attitudes".

What I am saying is, my business is based in the UK, my prospective customers are in the UK and here in the UK we DO NOT use dollars. They may be 'universal' but that's not the point.

Perhaps I should put it another way; how happy would people living in New York be when they hit the buy now button on a U.S. website to be confronted with euros as the payment method?

Well with the current value of the USD I would be unhappy to see the price in any currency at all.

I have tested this and without a doubt people do prefer to see and pay in their own currencies....this appears to be especially true in the UK where people tend to be more skeptical than in some countries.

Therefore I completely understand why PaulSch wants his UK targeted product to display GBP....I have exactly the same situation on some of my products.

I use Clickbank for those products as they do now have the ability to display and pay for in GBP and it works well so would recommend them.
