If you are using these videos to provide information and promote your site then you don't want to make them look too promotional - ie music, flashy effects, etc.

These should be short informational videos that give people some useful content but also gives them a reason to click through to your website.

There is no point creating a whole load of these videos and having no one click on them because they look trashy. You are better off taking your time and creating videos that convey the right image and will portray your website in the best light.

It's not hard really. All you need is a microphone, powerpoint, and your voice.

WILLR --> Good points....However I am just looking for something that is easy to use without much flash, I could use powerpoint and camtasia but that takes up a lot of time if say I want to put 10 video articles on YOUTUBE, and yes I do plan to use these videos to promote my main website...thanks

Hi There
what about using Jing which is free and you can hsot the videos on screencast which is also free or post them on Youtube.
Only problem with the free jing is it only outputs to swf format.
