Squeeze page or sales page for articles?

Hello everyone

I am currently in the process of writing articles for submissions and am curious about how to effectively use my sig. Have you had more success linking to your squeeze page or directly to the sales page? I am planning on giving a free PLR ebook to subscribers so I'm thinking of going with the squeeze page to capture emails and build a list.

Any advice or input is appreciated!

I always try to link to a squeeze page. Sometimes I will link to both a product and a squeeze page. But I ALWAYS try to include a page that has at the very least an optin box in the sidebar (on blogs) or somewhere else that is very visible.

    Good Luck

Thank you. I am definitely going to place an opt in box on my sales page as well, just weighing the concept of maybe missing out on a couple of opt ins to send them directly to the sales page.

Why not offer them an OTO for your product after signing up?

You can even send them directly to the sales page if you wanted too . . .
This way you get the chance to get an instant buyer and if not you can market to them again

    Hello B and B,

It all depends on your niche. If you have a niche where you can sell different products to your list then only there is a point to build a list.

Internet marketing, weight loss, body building are some good niche examples where you can build a list and sell them over and over.

Last year I build a list for "Grow Taller" Niche and it was completely a waste of time.

So now you decide, IS your NICHE is good enough to build a list? If yes! then go on..

I agree that a squeeze is ideal. But an opt-in squeeze with a free giveaway is even better. Also a good point is to qualify the niche, but you never really know until you dive in.

I suppose it's a bit ironic too that I'm answering this question with no sig on this forum.

An idea just clicked me, why not offer your visitor a random chapter from your ebook in return of an email (Optin box will be placed on sales page). This way you will collect emails and also your prospect will not get distracted by the main sales motive.

I think you will even get better conversion...

Thanks for all of the opinions.

Just to be clear my product is a blackjack software and I am offering a free PLR ebook in exchange for the email.

As far as the OTO, I just feel like they are so overused these days and the majority of them aren't true one time offers but are just advertised that way for urgency to the buyer. Just kind of feel like it's overused so often that they've lost a lot of credibility by in large.

Seems like the consensus is to link to squeeze page though and I am definitely leaning that way as well.

Its a good niche to build list for.
