Why I hate Offline Marketing!!!!!

I think the main reason that people enter the affiliate marketing community is because they are looking for freedom...

There's a lot of fad in our community sometimes it's mobile marketing.. (that dude made a bank with the mobile monopoly stuff.. lol)
sometimes it's offline marketing... which I think is really for people who tried everything online and failed and hope they can finally make some money offline...
I know some of you are making money offline But come on.. Don't you hate to be on the phone with clients??? Don't you hate receiving calls requesting for an update?

If that's what you call freedom then Congrats!!!!

Affiliate marketing is all about mindset+Consistency... Go to your hardrive pick one these ebooks that you bought and study them... Get better and better everyday...

    I agree with you 100%!

The thing that attracted me to internet marketing in the first place was the freedom from all that "offline" stuff, the relatively fixed hours, the phone-calls, everything else. Not for me.

I'm not a fan of offline marketing as you are referring to but hey, to each his own! Someone is gonna love it and crush it with offline marketing so it can't be all bad...just not for us.

Yes I agree with you, but if you make a good offline marketing, it will boost your online marketing too. Some times these two go hand by hand.

I dont do any offline marketing, but I still think there is freedom in that because you are owning your on business and you can fire your clients if you want which you can not do in a 9 to 5

Offline marketing has been great for me. I do not cold cold anyone, my website attracks the attention that keeps the business going.

Actually I also like the personal contact, I now have a number of restuarants that I never have to pay to dine at, I have dentist who give me huge discounts, clubs where I am always on the guestlists and many other perks of doing a good job.

Do I mind getting a call for a update? Heck no, because they also invite me to enjoy something on them for all the good work I have done.

I can justify the one or two calls i get a month if even from the $500 - $1000 reoccurring fees my clients pay.

Half the time it's me phoning them to see how things are going.

Depends what you like really, I'm diversifying away from local offline clients now as the main problem is you either have to have staff to deal with the clients or you are kind of stuck where you are not being able to go on long holidays.

I have to disagree Jay. I believe that most people that have owned their own business offline are experienced in selling offline.
With my Recording studio I sold Jingles, Telephone On Hold Scripts (messages-voice-overs) without cold calling.

Join the local Chamber of Commerce, take potential clients to lunch
and find other ways to advertise without having to cold call.

Also if you have ever made a website for someone else, then offline marketing
should be easier, you already have your foot in the door!

I think offline marketing requires a little more physical effort, while IM requires a little more mental effort.

Offline is more geared toward people who are willing to scour the world for clients (via phone contact, flyers, etc) while Internet is more geared toward people who are willing to scour the internet for clients (building up backlinks, SEO, etc).

So basically I think offline marketing isn't an overall "hateable" strategy, it's just not for everyone.

    hi Jay,
I agree with you. I dont like offline marketing at all, I am actually against doing it like I am against working for someone else again! lol

The whole point we 'work' online is to have more time freedom and automate our business so we dont do the chasing- people come to us

Both IM and Offline marketing have their pros and cons. It's a matter of what you are best at doing, how you wish to spend your time, and what you can make more money doing.

I'm in agreement with you as well. I took a stab at it (not sure why) and realized that I absolutely hated dealing with clients.

It's just not in my nature and never has been. There's plenty to be said for stepping outside your comfort zone and I sure did that but it just wasn't for me. I've always thought that work should be fun and what I do right now is fun. offline marketing sucked.

I don't hate off-line marketing. Its one of the ways I make money. I have clients whom I do SEO work for their websites. I don't let it take over my entire day because I cherish the freedom affiliate marketing gives me. Off-line marketing is simply an addition way of getting some extra income. It can be very lucrative when done well.
