Rates (per article) for outsourced article content from Philippines?

In your experience how many articles (on order of 300 words each) should outsourced help, with good command of English, be able to produce in a 40 hour week?

What kind of rate would you expect to pay in USD per article? Do people volume discount?

Thanks!

Hi! There are different supplier markets for various buyer markets...

$270/Mo = 8 300++-word articles per 8-hour work day. Content frequently complies with academic American English standards. "Good" content richness and reader benefits. "Unique" according to Copyscape and Plagium among other duplicate content checkers. "Good" content SE optimization, in the eyes of article directories. Could be effective for article marketing, most often for non native English/ESL target readers and backlinks (more for volume than actual traffic funneling). Minor Problems: 0 to minimal author personality injected into the content, making a few non native English/ESL readers and some native English speakers think and feel the author isn't a real person, so low reader attention. Low writing tone/style effectiveness in terms of enticing and entertaining readers to read on. Main Problem: Lacks character injected in content for target readers. Most native speakers and a few non native/ESL readers won't think and feel that the author is a friendly expert source of info/advice/content relevant to their needs and problems. More so, most of them wouldn't feel the urgency to act in a way that's beneficial for them and the author.

$540/Mo = 8 to 10 300++-word articles per 8-hour work day. Content complies with academic American English standards and a bit with Western cultural nuances. More extensive research, producing "better" content richness and reader benefits. "Unique" according to Copyscape and Plagium among other duplicate content checkers, with a few relevant opinions, inferences and concepts added. "Better" content SE optimization, in the eyes of article directories, target readers and most likely search engines. Effective for article marketing and building business reputation/brand name exposure in relevant informal online places like forums/blogs/community sites/social networks, for non native English/ESL target readers, backlinks (more for volume over optimal traffic funneling) and some native speakers. Minor Problems: Minimal to average author personality injected into the content, making a few native English speakers think and feel the author isn't a real person, so slightly low reader attention. Average writing tone/style effectiveness in terms of enticing and entertaining readers to read on. Main Problem: Average character injected in content for target readers. A few native and non native/ESL speakers won't think and feel that the author is a friendly expert source of info/advice/content relevant to their needs and problems. More so, they won't feel the urgency to act in ways which would be beneficial for them and the author.

$900/Mo = 10 400++-word articles per 8-hour work day. Content complies with academic American English standards and with most Western cultural nuances. Better extensive research, producing "highly satisfactory" content richness and reader benefits. "Unique" according to Copyscape and Plagium among other duplicate content checkers, with a lot of relevant opinions, inferences and concepts added when necessary. "Effective" content SE optimization, in the eyes of article directories, target readers and most likely search engines. More effective for actual onsite content marketing, traffic funneling, digital info product development and various online content marketing methods like article marketing, forum marketing, blog marketing, social networking and press release submissions to build business reputation/brand name exposure in relevant informal online places, for native and non native speakers as well as for quality backlinks (more for actual traffic funneling than volume). "Above average", not "excellent", author personality injected into the content. "Above average" writing tone/style effectiveness in terms of enticing and entertaining readers to read on. Main Problem: Character injected in content for target readers can be improved further for optimal effectiveness. More native and non native/ESL readers would most likely think and feel that the author is a friendly expert source of info/advice/content relevant to their needs and problems, though this is an area which can be improved further, given the right training and experience. Only a few won't feel the urgency to act in a way which would be beneficial for them and the author, though conversions can be optimized with the right guidance.

These are my observations, inferences, test results and experience. I own and run an ICT (Information & Communications Technology) outsourcing firm here in Manila, Philippines. We provide ICT solutions and services, business consultancy and offline/online marketing services. Most of our tech services are relatively recent. Our company was registered September 2006, from 4 people working at home, me and my wife included, to 140 employees and 20 subcontractors 3 years upon conception along with 11 satellite offices in the provinces and 2 Manila-based offices, though now unfortunately down to 40 employees, 30 subcontractors, 7 satellite offices and 2 Manila-based offices. Started out without a website, without a business email domain, without backlinks and no SEO/SEM/ICT background knowledge and experience.
