Can I Become a Millionaire for Free?

Okay, gang, I need some help here.

I'd like to set up a website, but I don't want to spend any money for a domain name. Anyone know where I can get a domain name for free?

Also, I need hosting but, obviously, I don't want to spend money on that either. Where can I get free hosting?

I need some content too, but information is free, so I shouldn't have to pay for that either. Where can I get some free content? I want original content too, not stuff that everyone else has. Oh, and I need fresh content daily.

I'm going to need graphics too. Free, of course. Where can I find those?

I'm not really that good with HMTL or whatever it's called. LOL. Where can I find someone who'll build my site for me for free?

I also need to promote my website. Where can I get some free advertising?

I should probably do some social networking, but I don't have time. Can I find someone to do that for me for free?

Also, I need a product to give away to build my list. Any ideas where I can find something for free?

Speaking of lists, I'm going to need a list provider or something. Free, of course.

Then, I need an autoresponder series. Where can I find someone who'll write that for me for free?

I need a product to sell too. Where I can find one without spending any money on product creation? I don't have time to do it myself either.

Oh, and I want to do about 100 of these sites. Maybe more. I really want to scale this thing up--BIG TIME! So, I need people that are reliable and dependable. But, of course, free. Duh.

Of course, I'll keep all the money I make. After all, I put a lot of hard work into thinking up these ideas.

/sarcasm

It's always amazing how many people want other people to produce stuff for them for free so that they can make money.

If someone else needs money to pay their bills, why would you expect them to work for you for free so you can pay your bills?

What you are looking for is a miracle. I hear they are now available only once every 500 years

Really, make some compromises, buy a domain name, instead of looking for shortcuts. It will be worth it in the long run.

Most people don't treat their online entrepreneurship as a business so that's why you see this attitude so much. That's also why so many of them fail.

Sad but true. Hopefully your post gets through to one or two people but I'm almost willing to bet money that most that could learn a lesson from it will only nod, click away from this thread, and go to the next "OMG $1,700 Using Twitter + Facebook in just 20 minutes!!!!111" thread.

I just grabbed the free PLR articles from John that I will probably never use but hell it was free. I also grabbed the free spinning software from someone else today which I have used to make non-sensical articles (it is great and will come in handy).
The rest I will probably have to go to fiverr to get cheap outsourcing of ****e products but hell am sure it will make me a million?

I think sticking to having big tits will to grab me my first million!

As soon as I saw that it was Dan who started this thread, I knew exactly
what was coming, and anybody who didn't know this was tongue in cheek
before they got to the sarcasm tag, doesn't know Dan at all.

I've watched him post here for some time now and he is one sharp cookie.

I have no doubt that he has one solid business model and invests lots of
      time and money into it.

But in this tongue in cheek thread there is a lot of truth in what he says.
I have seen it now for almost 8 years...people who want the whole world
handed to them on a silver platter for no cost and no effort. And please
spare me the "some people just don't have any money" crap because it
      doesn't wash.

If you went into a bank to get a loan for a brick and mortar business and
had no business plan and no collateral, they'd literally laugh you out of
      the building.

And yet...you expect it to be different online.

      Boggles my mind.

Anyway, don't get me started Dan because this has been one of my pet
peeves since I started my own business...people who expect the world
      for a song.

It doesn't work that way and never will.

      Thank God.

I'm sure Dan put this up as a sarcastic response to the numerous threads that have been popping up here recently, and they become especially prolific around the holidays every year.

It boggles my mind too how people can think that the internet is some magical world where everything is free and they can make thousands of dollars by just pushing a few buttons.

The internet is nothing more that another medium to do business with, and that means you have to sell something in order to make money, whether it is physical products, digital information or services. There's no two ways around it - something of value has to be sold in order for you to make money. The internet is definitely not some giant ATM that spits out cash on demand, no matter what the sales letters and latest bright and shiny IM product is trying to tell you.

Since you definitely need to invest money and work to sell something of value so that you can realize a profit in the real business world, do you really think that doing business online would be any different?

I loved this purely and simply because for the first few lines I was thinking "oh I can help with that", lol. We see this stuff so often that it becomes almost habit to help out where we can - but it is for people who don't want to help themselves.

I was talking to a new guy from here on Skype a few weeks back who wanted help with promoting his website; I offered the advice for free. I spent about an hour explaining bits and pieces that i know works - and he turned around and said "oh I know all that, I just can't be bothered". I hung up. I would much rather help people who want to help themselves.

So there you go Dan, if you need it I will help you

I don't know where their sense of entitlement is coming from, but I see more and more of those types of threads appearing these days. They're literally demanding FREE help from experienced marketers, though I bet they'd never dare to do this in the real world though (just in here)!

That is just plain rude. I guess there are many newbies in here who are convinced that there is a magic pill they can just swallow to become an expert internet marketer overnight. I think they have been hoodwinked by and have truly bought into all the crafty and devious blind copy in the newbie-targeted IM products that have been released lately.

It's a sad and unfortunate fact that due to these "blind copy" products, we'll be seeing many more newbies with very skewed misconceptions of IM in this forum in the coming months.

To make money one must spend money. Period.

I can understand when someone is first starting out and they are struggling to find money to put food on the table, then they will be quite hesitant to pay for anything unless they are guaranteed it will make them money - which nothing is really 100% guaranteed.

I know when I first started out I didn't want to pay for hosting or anything really because I just didn't know if I could earn enough to cover my costs. But as long as I was thinking along those lines I didn't make any money either.

It wasn't until I had paid hosting, paid domains an actually started investing some money that I started making money. That isn't always the case either, you can buy a domain and hosting and do nothing more and not make money.

So for those who are really struggling to pay for anything - when you do pay for something make sure that you are prepared to put in the hard work to make your business successful - otherwise you are just wasting your money.

But as the saying goes - you get what you pay for! If you want a serious online business then be prepared to invest some money into it.

I'm going to come at this from a different angle, I think I will come at this like a spider monkey (talladega nights reference)

Getting your own branded domain isn't easy, if you want one for free, you are likely going to have to either: a. beg for it, b. barter your skills for it

As for hosting, if you want free, you have tumblr, blogspot, and a couple of other places but those are the two I would suggest especially for commercial purposes (look at all the financially successful 'mommy blogs' that are on blogspot)

If you want free content, you have a few choices. Aggregate information much the same way as many news websites and organizations do, or my preferred method, guest post writers. Approach them, ask them to write for you and then promo their product at the end of the writing they provide.

Free graphics can be acquired by bartering ad space on your website in exchange for graphics.
Free website design can likely be done by the same people who do your graphics, if not, use the same ad barter system to acquire this.

Free advertising can be done in a couple of different ways, free press releases, posting videos on youtube, articles, running an affiliate program (affiliate traffic), facebook fan pages, and twitter marketing.

If you have children, force them to do your social marketing lol Like a chore similar to cutting the grass, washing the dishes, etc.... Your other option would be to find a business partner who would be willing to take on this one task.

Giveaways can be anything, collect 10 tips on your target topic, turn it into a free pdf using pdf creation software and BAM free giveaway, "10 Tips on How to Be Awesome" or whatever you want. Just be sure to credit the original source properly.

    List provider for free: listwire

Find a free giveaway plr series for an autoresponder series. Alternatively, create a swipe file from all your favorite lists that you belong to and force fit them into your niche.

Find a free plr giveaway for your niche (if it isn't in the MMO or IM arena), sell that. Or you could find a business partner willing to put up the product for a split of the profits. Alternatively, just promote someone else's product.

Scaling can be a b*&ch when trying to do it for free, best bet is after you have set it up a few times and it has proven profitable, offer an internship to someone who wants to learn.

As for finding free outsourcers, sorry, not going to happen, at least on a consistent basis. If you have the balls, you could try to barter promoting them to your new found list once they do work for you, that is if your niche even needs their services.

To keep all the money....Well, you get to keep the money you receive, but anything other than that isn't yours to begin with. Partner takes a their money, product owners take their cut, and affiliates rightfully get their cut.

There you go. Blueprint for a potentially free run business online.

I think you are dreaming. You can start off free in IM but many of the things you mentioned will end up costing you one way or the other.

I would suggest for you to start out with a free blog at blogger with a free domain. Spend some time producing original content and monetize it with some Adsense and Affiliate Links. Do some backlinking with some Articles at EZA and give it a little time. When you start producing some income put it right back into your business with some of the things you mentioned.

There is no shortcuts in IM and eventually if you want to be successful you will have to pay for things !!

Bill, believe it or not, they actually SELL that button at Staples, and anyone can pick it up for themselves. It is battery operated, and blares out "that was easy" when you pound on it. I'm not kidding, here's a link to it - Staples® Easy Button™ | Staples®

You can't become a millionaire for free?

Anyway to start off here's a free web hosting services but the downside is they can suspend you right away. Like me Im so excited using the free hosting called byethost and then I upload the wordpress to the server.

I just wonder why, I just upload more than 5 plugins I never do any post yet but by the time I wake up in the morning my account suddenly close and I can't access it.

It drives me nuts even thou I did not spam. I just wonder why? May be they have some terms and conditions to be follow.

Better you should have a up and running website so that you have the better control. You can yell back if you want it too just in case there something wrong because you paid for a hosting services. Lol...

There's a saying from travie mc coy " I wanna be a billionaire so f...'ng bad!

Impossible to be a millionaire for free.

Everything needs even just a tiny bit of a money to spend.

you can find most things for free if you look hard enough, the problem is the virus's and spyware and redirects you will pick up on the way. Also you can get free domains and hosting but there will be too many restrictions on what you can do. they will even take a share of your adsense earnings. so if you do make a success of it, it wouldn't have been worth it because you will have paid a lot more in other ways. I can see dans post was a wind up, but there will be a lot of people watching and hoping for replys to help them get it for free.
My advice is, nothing is for free theres always a catch

      Hey Dan,
It amazes me that people are quite willing to pay $97 for some BS marketing product, but aren't prepared to put any effort in to make it work.
Then when they have spent all their money on their business, they come here to see what the Warriors can give them for free.
      Go figure.

Making a million dollars for FREE is possible.

Step 1 - Go the park in the fall and pick up 1 million free "helicopter" seeds

Step 2 - Plant the seeds in the ground

Step 3 - Sell the tress for $1 each

Step 4 - Spend like there's no tomorrow because you can always do this again each year.

Remember, he had to bear his travel expenses. Houses in some areas are really cheap, and international air travel is not.

      So it wasn't free.

You know, this question is very common.

The answer is: What is, rob a bank?

You know, the funny thing is that successfully robbing a bank isn't even quite as easy or quick as it may initially appear - you need lots of reconnaissance and planning before you ever step foot in the bank, and you typically need to interview and recruit a team of people who are suitable for the job. It also requires skill and precision to defeat the bank's electronic and physical security countermeasures, and then you also need to plan the perfect getaway after that.

It actually requires a lot of work and prior planning! Of course, Hollywood makes it all seem so easy and smooth, but robbing a bank is actually hard work!

So even if you want to obtain quick money illegally, we've established that it's going to require quite a bit of work. Given this fact, do you really think that making money online legally is going to be so easy that you barely have to lift a finger?!

Sounds like Paulie is brewing up something that we all don't know about yet....Haha.

All jokes aside, people need to understand that business takes risk. Hell, anything that can bring great reward takes great risk. A "business" doesn't operate for free, so people need to get in that frame of mind and realize that they may have to make some investments or sacrifices to make things happen.

Overall, even if your spending is low or nearly non-existent and you're making money, the only way to get up to the next level is to spend money on things you need that save you time. There's always a trade-off, no matter what the circumstance is.

I will say that part of the problem is due to the "gurus" and all of the overhyped products that come out on the market that are then presented to people who aren't familiar with IM practices and expect so much for so little. They think that they will really earn $1,300 in 25 minutes with no prior experience. It's sad, really.

The internet isn't this "magical place" where millions of people are raking in millions of dollars monthly by doing nothing more than turning on their computer. If you want to truly make money, it needs to be treated like a business. That's when I started finally realizing how money was made online, and I've been making money online ever since. That was my "ah ha" moment. But then again, I know how a business is supposed to operate and understood that there is some risk involved. Those that don't understand the basic concepts of business probably will never make money online. May sound harsh, but it's the reality.

But I can definitely agree that some of these "freegans" are getting out of hand, but there will always be people like that. There comes a point where I will only do or give so much.

You know, though, that most people don't think that way about it. They think they just walk into a bank with a gun, hand the teller a note and walk out with wads of cash.

And then they get caught because they do something stupid like wearing a uniform with their name embroidered on it, or covering their face with a hat that has their name on it, or covering their face after walking into the bank and being recorded on camera, or leaving footprints in the snow all the way back to their house.

So, even when people think they are taking the easy way out, they still avoid doing anything resembling work.

There is a lot of good "free stuff" out there and if you are starting off on a tight budget it could be worth using it while you are on the learning curve.

    E.g. Openoffice, Wordpress etc.

Would be crazy not to take advantage of it. However stuff like hosting, domain names etc. is a false economy to skimp on.

And a good mentor is a chicken-and-egg. They normally cost a fortune because the good ones are making enough money anyway they won't get out of bed for less than $300/hr.

No way. That'd be prime WSO material.

Of course, I'll need to find someone to put it all together in an eBook for me. For free.

But, how can I post a WSO for free?

I heartily disagree with the "You cannot make money without spending it first" attitude. Here's why:

    1. You make money from something by investing time, not money.
You invest your time to learn effective copywriting, effective ad-writing, effective website making, effective business strategies.. etc. A fool invests his money blindly without knowing any of these things.

    2. You can turn a profit from a website which you pay $0 for. The number one result for "Making Money Online" in Google is a page hosted at HubPages. To further extend upon this, you can make a website at a place that allows you to register a website with a subdomain, do your own graphics and your own web design, and still turn a profit by just investing your time.

With all that being said, I couldn't agree mroe with Dan C. Rinnert on the fact that you need to invest time in order to become a millionaire. And unfortunately (or maybe fortunately, it depends on who you market to ), a lot of people aren't willing to do that.
