Video Question

Hi guys

I have some PLR videos that I want to distribute. There's quite a lot, around 600MB in all, broken down inton 100MB folders. Can anyone tell me where is the best place to host this kind of thing? I don't want host it on my site ion case people try downloading and crash my site

    I would say that using Amazon AWS would work well for this.

    There are two services, you can try,

    Use Amazon S3 to host the files, you can use a URL for each file.

    There is also a new service, which you can also use, which will speed up the playback of the video files.

    This is called Cloud Front, this is a new content delivery service from Amazon AWS, this is an optional service, which basically delivers you content with high bandwidth and availability in regional areas.

    For your particular, need, I would say Amazon S3 would perhaps work well.

    The cost is minimal, if you find that you need more in terms of speed and bandwidth then cloud front is something to consider.

      aws.amazon.com/s3/ - pay for what you use hosting.

      mediatemple.net/webhosting/gs/ - At $20 a month you get 1TB of bandwidth - doubt you will exceed that in the beginning.

      dreamhost.com/ - Unlimited bandwith

      While you could use MediaTemple and DreamHost to host your other sites you might have I don't recommend it. They are shared hosting environments. Which means they are cheap and can offer massive bandwith, but they are crap for database driven sites e.g. Wordpress and Drupal
