The Power in an information product

We're moving into a new age. Things are radically different now, than they've been over the last 40 years. We've gone from having to be some number in a factory, or in someone else's game, to being able to create our own game and being the key player that makes things work. My entire business is based around information products, and helping people to make significant changes in their lives. I started my business by myself, with the help of a lot of failure, and learning how to be what I call "internally adept."

This has so much power in 2010. I mean, any of you can write a 20 page E-book about building a great list, and getting your product to sell, (and I'm sure tons more) and I automatically know the value in your power. At the same time, I can write an E-book about the combination of many disciplines of the mind to get you to take action, because my life is about being a student of the psychology of effective human beings. This has tremendous power! Definitely more than I ever knew. Take a guy like Eben Pagan for example. I can't believe his success! I've really been immersed in some of his material lately, and it's amazing! I just heard about him recently! I know you're probably thinking "where the heck have you been?" The point though is that it's information products that are continuing to take over, and have massive value.

I think we're growing as a species. We are learning more about ourselves (my arena) and we are learning more about creating things out there in the world and it's an amazing thing to me. So this post is really about the power in YOUR PRODUCT. I believe any human being can sell the power they have in their minds, from their experiences in life and what they've applied. I believe that people who are looking for the edge in life, in business, in internet marketing and in personal and psychological mastery, are intelligent enough to get a great product when they see it, and know the real value in it. That is why WF is such an amazing place. I've just recently started posting on here and interacting with people, and already I've gained massive value, and shared a lot as well, it's extraordinary.

Ultimately, the main message is that all of your products are massively powerful. We learn, we experience, we learn again, we fail, then we learn more, take a bathroom break sometimes, and go out there and engage again! As long as we've got the key philosophical elements in our minds in place, the beliefs that move us to action, a strategy to deal with the inevitable failures and discomfort we'll have to endure and we can learn to control the way we feel at any given moment, we can do anything in the world. Then, we can pay it forward and help our species with the information that has helped us to navigate the land of our minds, our businesses and our lives. Information products rock! Who the heck wants a pair of sunglasses anyway? GET DATA!

Excellent post, Ryan. Thanks for sharing!

I completely agree with you. Information products do indeed rock for a variety of reasons. I love the leverage they provide... and the return they offer on the time invested can't be beat. Do it once, get paid many times over the months and often years. Plus there are multiple ways to publish and market information and the rewards are not just in immediate dollars generated.

It's a great time to be alive, isn't it?

I just want to add that as information product creators, we have a responsibility to provide value in the information that we distribute. Some people are looking for the quick buck, so they put more emphasis on quantity, rather than quality. Not only will this attitude hurt the marketplace, it will also hurt your business. To turn a customer into a repeat customer, they have to be happy with their first purchase.
