question about shopping cart checkout for people who have had some good success selling online

Hello,

I'm looking at using e-junkie as a shopping cart. It looks like they have shopping carts for digital download products down to a science.

A drawback, however, is this:
Due to the cart being hosted on their servers (and some other factors), when your customer goes to checkout, they will get bumped to a different root URL.

So if your website was something like world-of-golf-products-dot-com, the checkout would go to a page like pay-pal-dot-com-xyz-blah-blah-blah, or maybe something like e-junkie-dot-com-code-code-blah-blah-blah.

So I was wondering if anybody here has been successful selling online even when they have had to use this built-in drawback of having to send your customers to a different URL for the payment-checkout part at the end of their shopping.

I'm trying to figure out if sending the customers to a different checkout-url scares them away a lot.
