Selling in Clickbank... MarketPlace

I got my first product approved in Clickbank and I have 2 questions for the fellow Warriro CB gurus

The $49 activation fee with Clickbank is only 1 time payment? Or each time you put a new product?

My product has been added... but I can't find it in the marketplace.

Any tips?

Thanks guys

It's a one time fee, you can add more products with incurring another fee. But you landing page for that account must be the same, they only let you have the one.

It won't appear in market place until you have made a sale.

Call me pedantic, but this really isn't so, I'm afraid. To get your product's gravity up, you need to have a large number of affiliates making 1 sale each, not necessarily a large number of sales, per se.

You can sell 10,000 copies tomorrow, and it won't increase your gravity one iota, because gravity doesn't measure the number of sales. Similarly, if you find a superaffiliate tomorrow and he sells 10,000 copies, that can only give your product a maximum gravity of 1.0, for the same reason.

Gravity has no relation to sales numbers, nor to conversion rates: it measures only the number of affiliates who've each sold one or more. Very different!

All explained in detail, with examples, in this post.

            ^ True.

If you're looking for a high gravity score then concentrate on turning your customers into your affiliates. You should be trying to do this regardless but it is one of the easier ways to get a lot of people making a small number of sales.

To clarify some of the above:

The one-time fee is for one account. You can have up to 500 products in the same account, all of which will have to have the same target URL, and the same commission rate that you specified in your account.

If you want to offer other products that are in a very different niche, it would make sense to open a new account -- that will have another $49 fee.

The product DOES appear in the Marketplace the day after you pay the $49.00 fee. It does not have to have sales before it appears for the first time.

Edit: Second account will have a $29.95 fee if you note to Clickbank (at the time of your product submission for approval) that you already have a Clickbank account, and give them the name of your first account.

    Hi,

Is your product selling well on clickbank? Because I don't want to waste $50.

Hi, does anyone know if CB's 7.5% includes the paypal fee? Or is that an additional fee on top?

And who's paypal account does that payment go to when a sale is made? Directly to mine or directly to CB, then to me in turn?

What "PayPal fee"? Clickbank does not pay vendors or affiliates by PayPal.

Retail customers who buy a Clickbank product and choose to pay with their PayPal account are responsible for their own PayPal fees, if any - they have nothing to do with Clickbank, the vendor or the affiliate.

No payment made by Clickbank ever goes to anyone's PayPal account. PayPal is not one of the available payment methods from Clickbank; only to Clickbank by customers.

Clickbank pays its affiliates and vendors by check, direct deposit or bank wire. All explained here.

Your first product will be $49 activation fee. You can have 500 different products/sites on this account, but only 1 listing in the marketplace (which ever site is listed in the "My Site" area)

Other separate accounts are $29.95 (that is if you want more than 1 listing in the marketplace at the same time)

Dave you are going to think I have some sever brain-problems... but let me ask you:

How do I make clickbank recognize my product as a second product (second account). Do I need to register a new account?

If you want another marketplace listing...

You open a new account and when you add a new product...in the comments section you tell them to send you the discounted activation link, and quote your first account ID. When you click submit they will send you the discounted activation link in usually about 2 days. Then you'll have another account with another listing.

Your product won't show up in the marketplace until you go to Account Settings > My Site > Marketplace Information, click edit, and add the title and description for your product.

As I understand the $49 is a one time fee. However, I was led to believe if you contacted them and let them know you paid the one time fee you could list another product for $25.

You were very slightly misinformed, Stew.

You can list a second product without paying anything. You can in fact have up to 500 products all within one account, all sharing one marketplace listing and one commission-rate. But to avoid those limitations and have second (and/or subsequent) accounts for the second (and/or subsequent) products actually costs $29.95 each, as mentioned above.

Thanks for the correction. However, correct me if I'm wrong. I thought the 500 additional products would have to be accessed throught the main product that was setup under the $49 charge.

The 500 products can be separate domains with different landing pages, but only 1 will be listed in the marketplace, you can choose what product you want listed by adding it to the "My Site" area
