Does anybody really give a 'shirt' about the A- Listers ??

You know who I am talking about..... people like Chow or Shoemoney. At first I bought into all the BS as I went to their Sites everyday thinking I was really going to learn something and try to be LIKE them. After gaining some experience and taking a step back to view it all I have come to the conclusion that most of its just useless garbage.

And I have come to my own senses that trying to make money of other BLOGGERS and IMers is really for the birds. In essence, trying to be like these guys will mean years of work with 4,000 RSS Subscribers but little to no money. Just a bunch of social bloggers.

I am not saying making money can't be made with this angle. It can. But I will put the odds in my favor and go towards Marketing to the common folk who don't give a 'shirt' about IM or blogging. And who are only on the Internet to find an actual product or a solution to their problems.
Thats just one more thing that I have learned here in the last 8 months being a Warrior
Thanks again

Peace !!

There's certainly an element of self-fulfilling prophecy to the ones you mention. They're both smart and lucky and motivated -- they actually DO STUFF. I'd argue the single most important aspect of that is the DOING STUFF. Time spent learning about IM has value to a point, but after you know what you need to know to get started, DOING STUFF seems much more important to me. (Also my biggest challenge.)

IM as a target audience is pretty saturated. I agree with you -- better to broaden the focus. (Said the guy with an IM ebook he purchased in his .sig.)

I agree theese guys did not get to where they just by sitting on the side lines watching their mentors work! No matter who you are learning from there comes a time when you have learned enough to take action and start making money for yourself.
If you try one tactice that doesnt work....move and a try another until you find something that will work for you everytime. That may mean that you have to try 10 different approaches before you find the one that works for you, but I assure you if you keep an open mind and work hard for it, you will find just what you are looking for.

Learn from what they've done, not what they said.

I don't read Shoemoney at all, but from my few visits to Chow I'll admit that most of it is rubbish. But you can learn from what he's done to get to that level - he is making a full time living (more than most people make in a year) every month on his blog.

    Primarily...

    - Get In Earlier
    - Don't Afraid To Be Controversial
    - Offer Incentives (Offers, Free eBook)
    - Linkbait
    - Making Money Off A Blog In This Niche IS Possible

    Etc.

I'm not a fan of Chow, but I really like Shoemoney. I've learned a lot of great things just from reading his blog.

I think your first mistake was trying to be like them. Don't ever try to be the next Shoemoney or the next Chow. Be the first you!

I bet you've never heard of this guy - Internet Business Blog - Entrepreneurs-Journey.com by Yaro Starak

He has almost 50,000 RSS subs.

There are many others who many don't know about who are conveniently parked in a saturated market full of "buyers" who deliver great content.

Shoe and Chow actually show you most of what they have done succesfully... it's just that you have to be in that mindspace to fully appreciate the genius behind their actions.

Yes, it would have been a pleasure to take your money in that Bet. Because I most definitely have heard of Starak !!
As far as Genius ?? Thats debateable, in Chow's case you can have all the genius you want but if you have NO class I say NO THANKS !!
The guy is so visible and attends many speaking engagements and Summits. I know for a fact he has made a lot of vehement enemies. In my book thats NOT having much Genius when you put yourself in such a precarious situation in the Public eye !! There is way too many crazy arse people in this World for me to make a fool of myself and then prance around for everybody to see me.
      Thats stupidity

Maybe you should check out the forum thread in my sig... I sense a bit of hostility in your reply.

Glad you heard of Yaro, he is a great read and an example of the common guy making it in so-called saturated niches.

No hostility....you just assumed without even knowning me that for some reason or another that I didn't know who Yaro was. So maybe I was a little firm in my reply.
