Default How Long Do You Spend On One Niche Before You Move On?

hey fellow warriors,

If it is one thing I have learn is to ask questins. I can't afford to pay someone to coach me and so I have being askin all these questions so that I can take my time and grow in the business.

I know it is not an overnight thing and am willing to do the work. Just need a little guidance to ensure that I dont waste my time on stuff that just dont work.

My Question is how long do you spend on a niche before you mve on?

Lets say am in a health niche and i know that there is demand. I have made squidoo lenses, over 50 articles, hubpages, press releases, videos, regular blog posting and my own website.

The return is not that good. maybe a sale once every two weeks.

I dont know what am i missing. Please i need your recommendations. I promise i will do the work. I will even report what i have done and gie the links for that matter.

until I'm making about 3 sales per day

about 30 article
30 videos

I can turn one piece of content into 10 different pieces of content so after about 600 links, through this I mean one article, now a video, blog post, audio submission, document submission and a few others, each piece of content creates about 75 visitors to my site

takes any where from 3-4 weeks for me but I am a perfectionist

so by the time this is done I have a few top ranking pieces of content a, list

so this generate about 3 sales per day for any niche I decide to promote

On the initial setup, maybe about 2-4 hours. This means getting the blog or mini-site up and running and populating it with about 5-10 articles. Then I leave the site itself alone. At that point, I do some link building with article and directory submissions, blog/forum comments and other link building activities. And then I'm done.

I then watch the stats on the site, watching for search traffic on my selected keyword(s). I don't obsess over this though. I'm waiting for it to get to about 100 or unique search engine visitors a day. At that point I monetize the site and build more links to it. The wait can be as short as a week or as long as 3-6 months. Not every site gets to this point so I may add more content and get more links or I may just use this site to support other sites.

The important thing when building niche sites is not to get bogged down but to keep moving on to the next one. You're not building a flagship site so you don't need a ton of articles and other hoopla. Just keep it simple.

It would definitely depend on whether you have your own product in that niche or not.

If you do and your building a list then you could potentially create an entire line of related products so you could potentially stay in your niche indefinitely.

It depends on many factors. From a foundational standpoint I've got to perform market research / analysis first to check for potential profitability. I've spent a few days in a niche and then moved onto another one. There are also niches that I've been in for years. It depends on how deep I want to go and how much I want to scale it up and how many distribution channels I want to use.

Hi bgmacaw,

That is a great way to do it! Set it up, do some articles and backlinks, monitor and move on.

Looks easy, but if a newbie were to do it, the first few site will take longer.
