Amazon Afflilate Program

I am new to Amazon Affliate program.

Their commisions are very low if you compare to clickbank. But they have physical products so you could have more volume.

So my questions are

1) How long does cookie stay for amazon for any affiliate. I heard its only 24 hours?

2) I don't live in USA,UK or Germany. Can I promote product in all three countries?? How will it work?

3) If a customer clicks on my affiliate link, but does not buy that particular product, do I still get the credit??

    1. Yes it is only 24 hours, but it is longer if they add a product to the cart.
    2. Yes you can create a separate affiliate account for each country and promote products from them.
    3. Yes, if he clicks through, anything they buy within the next 24 hours you would get credit for.

    I actually utilized Amazon Associates recently. Linked a good friend to a product and they purchased a ton of stuff. Only made $13 or so from it, but imagine if more people were to purchase stuff.

        The conversions on Amazon is through the roof. So far this month I am converting at 13% which is up from my usual 9% because of the holiday season.

        Sales is also up this month and I am making around $300 per day in profit from my 10 little sites. I am not saying this to brag but rather to encourage newbies. It is definitely in my opinion the easiest way to make money as an affiliate.

        If you promote products in the $200 range you will get about $14 -$16 per sale which is the same as what you'll get from many Clickbank products but the difference is the conversion rate. 2% vs 9% is a big difference in your bottom line with the same amount of traffic plus, getting traffic to Amazon sites is easier than Clickbank because the competition is still very low.

      I tell people all the time that while you're working on getting traffic to your Amazon sites, why not tell all of your family and friends about your sites. It's safe to say that at least some of your friends and family use Amazon regularly so why not benefit from it! Tell them about your sites so that instead of going straight to Amazon, they stop at your site and click on one of your links OR just e-mail them one of your affiliate links for them to click through....Bingo! It works like a charm!

    In order to make serious money from Amazon, you need to really know how to do keyword research. Target products with prices over $100 and spend the time to find the low hanging fruit when it comes to keywords. With the right keywords, you can rank an exact keyword domain with no backlinks and get search traffic. If you can design a professional looking, neat, crisp site and put some original content, there should be no issues selling stuff.

    There are quite a few warriors who are making serious money from Amazon.

    90% of the work is keyword research, pick the right keyword and you can make a bank. Pick buying keywords, products people are looking for. Make sure there is a decent amount of search volume for exact and phrase searches. Make sure the top 10 Google results for this keyword include some non-authority sites such as ezine articles, web 2.0 properties, low PR domains.Also make sure there is .com domain available to buy for the exact keyword phrase. If your target is "underwater hd video cameras" then underwaterhdvideocameras.com should be available, sure you can get another similar .com but the exact keyword domain is very easy to rank with little work. I ranked such domains in a short space of time, with no backlinks whatsoever.


    Check Google insights, Google trends, Amazon best sellers infos for the product. You mgiht also consider the products that are not launched yet but projected to be hot selling products, or go for established products with high search volume.

    It takes time to find the right keywords, and you might run into ton of niches where the competition is too fierce or there is no exact keyword .com domain available, but if you keep at it you will eventually find some low hanging fruit. Keyword research is everything if you want to make serious money.

    I already have selected one very super targeted niche and created a simple hubpage, have started building few links. Lets see. The product is in the range of $500....

      Using hub pages can be a good way to test out a niche before building a full blown site around it. Let us know how it pans out. $500 is a nice price range for your product.
