Hello folks, nice to meet everyone, a little background! I have been in adult for 10 years building and running sites! I want out!!!!! LOL I want something that will be better and fun! I have never had a mainstream site before and want to get into this asap! I am new to mainstream but not to the net! I can design with photoshop, do anything with HTML etc. Any help on how to get started would be great! The do's and dont's etc.

    Welcome Tom! Glad you were smart enough to make it to the best forum online. This forum is massive and has topics and categories that can really provide you with the help and ideas you need in any of your endeavors or challenges.

    In terms of getting started I say create your squeeze page by doing it yourself (since you do have HTML and Photoshop skills) or get it created forr 20 bucks on Scriptlance.com

    Once you have your squeeze page, get started immediately on building your list.

    Why build an opt in list?

    1. Those who subscribe to your optin list are already showing an interest in your product or service
    2. Those who show an interest provide a much better conversion rate.
    3. You have their permission to market to them until or unless they optout so you are not spamming.

    How can a list help you make more money?

    1. An optin list gives you the opportunity to target those that are the most apt to purchase
    from you.
    2. An optin list provides you with additional chances to sell to those who did not make a purchase when you emailed them your initial affiliate promotions.
    3. With an impressive opt in list you will be better able to attract joint venture partners.
    4. Reputation is a vital part of Internet marketing and credibility is vital. You have the opportunity
    to establish a good reputation and your credibility when you build a list and provide valuable, problem solving content for them.

    Those who build solid responsive opt in lists make long term, reliable income and those who do not will most likely join the growing number internet marketer who've failed to make money online, because they have not put forth the time and effort required to build a profitable opt in list.

        Don't be shy to ask questions, even if you think it may be totally stupid, because I'm sure that there's at least one person on this forum who wants to ask the same question but is too shy to just ASK. Also, if you know an answer and can help someone out, please do.

        Anyway, be proactive and just do it. I'm glad you're focusing on just ONE project at a time, because so many times in this industry we all LOSE FOCUS and move from one project to the next without fully completing the one we started. As Mark Cuban, Billionaire and Owner of the Dallas Mavericks always says, "Drop 5 projects and focus on ONE."

    Hi Tom. My background is the exact same as yours. I'm sure you'll find it a lot easier to get going on the non-adult side of things as you don't even have to know HTML or Photoshop. All you need is WordPress to get going.
