    Hi There,

A Free way to check is to use siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/

A paid way is the king of all programs and is called Market Samurai.

    Best Regards,

Try Market Samurai if you are starting off.

There are other more advanced tools for this but again, if starting off then MS is a good place to start.

It uses Yahoo site explorer which will tell you a fair amount about your competition but it is fairly limited with regards to the efficiency of Yahoo crawling and indexing links.

Try SEOSpyglass - they have a free version that gets all the links from Yahoo (the paid one gets links from many other sources as well). It will show you all kinds of great info like the PR of the link, the anchor text and so on:

To get the best results from site explorer

    Enter the domain name
Click the inlinks button, it should show all links to the home page
Select Except This Domain from the next dropdown over
Then select Entire site from the next popup that appears.
(I should be looking at what I'm talking about)
This gives you home page and 'deep' links, but not links from within the site.

You should repeat this with www. and no www versions of the domain name

I understand the yahoo results can change day to day, depending on the data center you get.

I used to be a Market Samurai advocate but I have to recommend SEO Spyglass.

It seems a little more robust than MS and goes into greater depth of information on each link.

I use site explorer from Yahoo myself. I've used MS but it has a trial period and you will have to pay to use it after that. Free resources may have you work a little harder to get to your end result but if your starting out or not making very many sales, it's best to plug leaks and focus on getting to your end result.
