how many of you guys actually do video articles for backlinking?

is it useful?

    I just started trying this out last month as a test. I took two of the 25 articles I have on a niche website and converted them to articles and loaded them up to YT. Before I did that I was not ranked well at all for either of those keyphrases.

    Now I do show up early in the general serps and the videos for those keyphrases are at the top of the first page if you use the 'video' search.

    One of the cool things about this is that soooo many keyphrases have never been targeted with videos that some niches are wide open to taking advantage of the technique.

    As far as the backling goes I haven't done any massive campaign to load those videos on a bunch of video sites for the backlinks, but the one backlink from YT which is what I was testing seems to help to a degree. I can only imagine that loading the video article up to many more sites would help tremendously.

    Anyway, that's how it worked out for me, your milage may vary especially given the niche chosen.

    I do video marketing but I don't do it for backlinking but I do it for direct traffic that i can get from by ranking in google.

    Believe it or not, I have some videos ranked on pages with 50 million+ competitors.

      nice good points guys. I think i'm hitting this hard and training or outsourcing a full team on this. probably 2 people.

    Why not? It will just take a little bit of extra time but you get an additional stream of traffic. But of course, not all article videos are equal.

    Some will get you hundred of visitors and some will just sit there with 3 views even after 3 months being uploaded online.

    Just like article.. the more the higher the chance of getting more traffic. And don't forget that these are pre-sold traffic as well just like article. Slightly better than PPC.. IMHO.
