While watching a video today of the failure of 401k programs and how it has affected many millions of people, it occurred to me that all around us, no matter where we live, we can, if we will look and not avert our eyes, see people who are struggling, even suffering. These are not stupid people who didn't have the wisdom to plan for the future. They are people who followed a plan that was conventionally sound and later on turned out to be built on quicksand.

We are fortunate that we are, as a group, the type of people who are working outside the box, outside of the conventional way of thinking (oftentimes, anyway).

As individuals within that group, we have the rare opportunity to help others out, to take them under our wings, so to speak, and help them build an alternative future. There are ways to succeed, and on this forum we see them every day. If we are responsible marketers, we can use the knowledge to help others and at the same time help ourselves.

This is one of my goals, at any rate, to help others in any way that my abilities will permit.

What is your goal?

My goal is continue to remember there is only one time, this moment. I want to do the best thing that I can right now. As I learn the lesson each moment provides, I am able become more and more helpful to others.

All those people each have a story, and they have so much to share. That is one reason I love this forum. There are people from all over the world and from many walks of life, each contributing to the whole. I enjoy being a part, and sharing where I can.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

My goal is to share with my friends and family (and anyone else who is interested) all the information I can and show them that there is another way.

I've seen many people: hardworking, honest people get screwed over by their company. They were doing everything right, everything the way they were told to and they got screwed.

I just want them to know that they can do it differently and have more success and more control.

I love to share information and help people build a future that isn't dependent upon the goodwill of their boss and company.

Problem is, many people aren't willing to listen.

Is misery sometimes a choice? Almost definitely.

Does that mean we can just throw our hands up and say "hey, their choice"? I don't think so.

I share information about the basics of what I do with my friends and family who are curious. If any show a serious interest in learning, I point them to this forum and give them advice on how to get started. But I can't build their businesses for them.
