Website Feeds

I have heard about feeds and linking your blog to your website, but I am not sure if this is exactly what it is. Can anybody include more information about feeds and how they are useful in the expansion of any website.

    RSS (Real Simple Syndication) allow you to place summaries or complete articles from other sites that choose to generate an RSS feed, Wordpress blogs automatically generate feeds that other can tap into.

    Probably due to duplicate content issues, displayed feeds may not provide the SEO value one expects from dynamic content. But seeing something new on each visit helps bring visitors back.

    There are plugins for wordpress that can more flexibly display selected feeds.
