Do you call your subscribers ? I do.

Hi;
I'm in a niche of a very tight competition, which is making money online.
On 2011, I'm thinking of bring my business upon current state.

From being successfully selling my own product, to help my subscribers
to get their business successful.

This morning, I blasted an email. This time, it is a little different.
Instead of just giving my subscribers a tips to help them making money
online, I offer them a free treat.

Which is a FREE advice over the phone.

I limited it to ten fastest subscribers to reply my email.
Wow, in no time, my email got bombarded with a lot of email,
replying me the email.

So, I called them one by one.
To my amaze, 50% of people I called is a business owner who look
a way of enhancing their business with online marketing.

I'm proud of myself, because, this is the first time I did this.
I myself never received any email from IMers offer me, a free
advice over the phone.

Maybe after this, you may thinking of this idea to get along with your subscribers.

IMO, subscribers are friends. We treat them right, they'll treat us right.

PS : Here what I learnt. You need to limit the time to each call. Tell them inside your email. Remember, you are giving away your time, and in my case, I pay the bill of calling from my cellphone.

PPS : Ten per day is too much. I'm getting so tired. Maybe next time, I'll offer just 5 calls instead of 10. It's too much on me.

Maybe doing 1 or 2 calls a day would be better.

I agree treating subscribers as friends is the way to go.

I think so. 1 or 2 calls per day. Maybe, I should segregate my list, who loves to get my call, they have to enter subscribe to the new mailing list, so that I can blast the email whenever I have a time for them.

        What do ya think?

My list consists of people who already know what is IM, but they are not very much into "taking action" part yet.

        Most common question is :
        "How to get quality traffic".
        "How to collect mailing list".

        The two are most common.

As I said in the first post above, 50% are already having their own business.
How about the other 50% ?
The rest still wondering, how to get money online.
Mainly they asked me how to get money from affiliate, how to write good review etc.

I hold scheduled 30 minute conference calls twice a day for my subscribers. It can become unmanageable to be calling thousands of people individually.

So in addition to your current mailing list, you will be creating a second list and third list. Second list are the action takers, and third list are the newbies who have not taken action. Very good. The two groups would respond to different products.

  • what a great idea, im sure that the clients with whom you had that 1-on-1 with are going to remember you for a very long time. why donnt you record a call and turn it into audio content for all off youre other clients, now you would have to inform the client before of what you intend to do and also try to have a feel the problems that youl address in call, maybe an email chat before hand.

the client would obviously like some anonymity and you could just refer to them by their first name only and not mention their website, however the meaty part of this podcast will be the clients niche and the unique solutions that you provide for their provide, this could provide alot of insight to your other clients who are grappling with many of the same problems everyday. make sure you talk more than they do and make good notes from the email chat that will help you give short bursts of 45 sec "speeches"

check out michael senoff from hard to find seminars whos done something similar by recording his coaching of his clients who operate in the offline world. its marketing stuff mostly and he advices them on how to approach clients, pitch them, analyze a biz and find ways to make his clients help THEIR clients make more money. you'll notice that his got brilliant content in terms of podcasts but this particular coaching-types stood out for me because they were actual, and not theoretical or abstract like most content on the web. these one was practical and direct.

good luck man and all the best

      Not yet.
But, on 24th one guy I called wanted to have a personal coaching with me.
      A "ka ching" there.

And, there's another guy that going to use my Solo Ad service. Another "ka ching" perhaps.

The best part is not about making the money with them.
The best part is, I got their phone number, and within a week, I might be
texting to them and asked them the progress.

My plan, is tomorrow, I'll send an email to all of them, asking for their reviews about how the free coaching going on.

I'm thinking of reduce the numbers of people I'm calling as suggested by a warrior above. Might be 1 or 2 calls only.

By that, hopefully I'll increase open rate. Because, people want to be the first to reply my email. I guess so. What do you think?

I think that's a great idea, Raja! I'd love to see some of the lists I've subscribed to offer that kind of service. Well done, and thanks for the tip. It's something I'd like to do in the future.

    Hey Raja,

I had a similar situation. I have a few people that e-mail once in a great while from my first site I ever created (MMO & Paid Surveys). She e-mailed me and asked me about the paid surveys and I kindly replied to her saying "I wouldn't join, not worth it, etc, etc." It was about 2 days of chatting via e-mail, we decided to get on the phone. I helped her out with a little bum marketing advice, and she made her first sale on CB in a few days! Anyway, she ended up buying 5 of my mini sites from me. Sometimes one e-mail can go a long ways!

    Thanks for the post!

    Kamil!

What a coincidence! I did this. Not to ask people to call me, but to email me.

This is what I call the "customizing clients approach", in my own offline marketing book.

Kamil, if you're having local clients calling you, I have a very good way to target them, make them paying you HUGE chunk of offline bucks. (I am doing this in Sabah, but it works everywhere else in the world!)

I am currently coached by my offline coach, so I know what works with offline businesses, and how to really treat them right, and genuinely concern about their businesses.

If you have landed on foreign country clients, it's even better, because now the currency will be in $, not RM!

Do you want some ideas for this? I can customize a method for you, to approach them. I will open up a thread discussing this with you, in the OFFLINE MARKETING sub-forum...

Just say YES, and I will be back with ideas in the new thread, so we can discuss about that if you want.

I will be doing this within a few days.

Thanks for bringing this up! This is what I think, will make people love you more, because you care, you concern about their business. It's all about WIIFT!

    Aiden

P.S. In my humble opinion, subscribers are PARTNERS, or at least future partners of some kind

I have at times invited subscribers to call me, and have
    had hundreds do just that.

I also use to host a weekly networking and brainstorming
call, that I recorded and used the content in a membership
    site.

On the group calls, I invited people to submit their website
for review in advance, and each announcement of weekly
calls also included a note on what sites would be reviewed
that week. Having a dozen people, some of them seasoned
copywriters, providing feedback on your site... and sales
    process was very powerful.

We also covered whatever topic the callers wanted to
    bring up, within reason.

I no longer host those calls, but have considered
    restarting them several times.

I recently had someone contact me from one of the lists I am subscribed to. It was really helpful, I spent about 30 minutes on the phone listening to what they had to say and asking questions. Now whenever I receive their emails I always check them as I know they will help me with any questions I may have in the future.
