I have a website that has approximately 25, 500 word review articles on different toys that are popular for Christmas 2010. I've spun and submitted these articles to EZA and Go Articles and I get about 40 hits per day. I've had some Amazon sales (nothing to write home about). I've poured a lot of time into this site and I'm just not sure what I should do with it after Christmas. The theme of the site is Christmas and the articles pointing to the site also reference Christmas. So......what do I do with it after Christmas?

well, Christmas does come once a year. Leave the site up and just add more related content. This could be a gold mine in years to come.

People do buy toys all year long -- not only at Christmas. So I would think that any of your toy review pages that rank well in search engines will produce sales all year long, just not as much as during Christmas season.

  • Keep on adding to it until next Christmas and then make more money then?

That's what most people do with seasonal sites - they have Christmas sites, Easter sites, Halloween sites, Thanksgiving sites, etc and keep them in a rotation of sorts.

If I am not mistaken, not many people are interested in Christmas in July...

I agree... keep the site, add content every month and it may become a really popular site... plus use it as a history of popular gifts of Christmas past after each Chirstmas passes..

Great ideas guys. Guess I will keep it and slowly drip content and then really start busting it next year!

I wouldn't slowly drip content to it. I would write an article every day for the next couple of months. Hell if you can find enough products to write about I would do a review every day until next Christmas! So your site is now 25+ pages, but imagine next year it being 250+ pages all targeting different products and gifts.

Toss a little SEO into the mix and you could seriously bank it this time next year.

Keep adding content to it, so it can grow and become more of an authority in that niche. When next Christmas season rolls around, your site will have a lot more traffic, credibility and sales.

I also agree that it is a good idea to keep adding content. Many people like to shop early for Christmas. Plus, some online shopping channels have "Christmas In July" celebrations. There is certainly potential to build this into a nice Christmas shopping destination that has value all year.
