Contextual Traffic from Clickbooth?

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to figure out what exactly "contextual traffic" means.

I have a friend that wants to try out some e-cigs and I figure I may as well email him my affiliate link from clickbooth and earn a commission.

The ad says "for contextual traffic".

Do you think I'll be breaking any rules? I don't want any excuses from them when it's time to pay up.

Thanks...

Contextual traffic is when you're advertising a product or service on a site that shares a similar theme with said product.

In your case, it would be advertising on a 'How To Quit Smoking' forum or website - or something of that nature.

In any regard, I'm sure you're fine to use your affiliate link to have your friend sign up.

I just want to make sure that they wont track it and see where the lead came from and say that it's not contextual traffic.

Can they even track it to see how they got to the sign up page?

They can, but in your case, trust me - you're perfectly safe!

If you doubt me, contact your affiliate manager. If you have no intention of canceling or charging back the rebill right away, you should be fine.
