Saturated on Amazon, what about online?

I'm a stats nerd so investigating new markets using keyword search volume and other various metrics is something I enjoy.

In one recent study I discovered a large market that was saturated on Amazon.com with printed books, but totally under-represented on Clickbank. This is not a miracle discovery by me by any stretch, but it's puzzled me a bit. Short of testing it via PPC and a survey or simple opt-in, I wanted to know what everyone thought...

If Amazon has dozens of books, many with numerous reviews (and obvious sales), but none seem to exist in the on-line ebook space, does that mean the market is dead online, or perhaps just under-represented? Perhaps these products exist just under a different category/label/niche, but that doesn't seem as likely.

Anyone with similar experiences?

This sounds like Google books to me.

The last time I checked Amazon paid next to nothing to ebook creators, it was so low it was insulting. That might have changed but I doubt it so CB is probably far more profitable.

What I'm saying is on Amazon there are loads of paperback/hardcover books, many well-known, best seller types, for sale in this niche. However, on Clickbank, there is an odd void of products within this space.

So I'm wondering if this represents a market that is perhaps dead online in that people don't buy online info products, or it's just positioned differently. There's probably no right answer, just curious/sake of discussion...

I understand what you are saying/asking... but not knowing the niche (and I don't expect you would reveal it, since it could be a possible gold mine) there is no real discussion.

    Guessing maybe but that's worthless.
