Script Visiting My Sites???

This week my traffic to my sites was 5-10 times normal and when I looked closer there's a script from some site that keeps visiting, the site and script is:

http://prosperousboom.com/scripts/runner.php

I don't want this stupid thing messing with me or slowing things down, can I block it?

I had that happen a few months ago.
What is happening is the site that script is from is a type of pay to click site.
One of it's members is promoting your site and the other members are clicking their link. To register the credits they get the site uses the runner.php script to do it.
If you put that link in your browser like this http:// prosperousboom.com (i put a space in there so it's not a clickable link) you will see what I mean.

    Hi Rich,

Here is a quick way you can block them, if you are on a linux server see if you have a file called .htaccess, if not create one in a text editor and upload it.

    Then simply add the line:
    Code:
    Deny from prosperousbloom.com
or with a quick check I got their IP so you could add
    Code:
    Deny from 206.112.100.132
Put this at the top of the file and they will be blocked from access and using any server resources.

    Hope this helps...

Sean I tried all that when I was having the same problem and none of it worked.
I even got my hosting company involved and they couldn't block it.
Even though the script is on that site it has something to do with the individuals clicking the link.
I finally contacted the hosting company for the site and told them what was going on and that I would report them for hosting a spammer's site.
They contacted the site owner and had them remove the link the member had posted there.
Your best bet would be to contact the site owner and have them remove the link to your site.
