Good examples of evergreen products?

I know they refer to products that people will always buy, but I am having a hard time figuring out what types of products would also be what people would buy online?

If anyone could offer some suggestions, it would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks, Latrice

I would say not eveything within IM/MMO niche. I see programs years ago that were geared towards things like Profile Link spamming at Twitter,
Craigslist Courses that at the t ime were hot and people made a lot of quick money but it soon was reeled in by the powers to be . so they lasted a short time and rightfully so.

I see other fields within IM/MMO like Email Marketing and Article Marketing vi Syndication that are long lasting and "evergreenish"

NOTE : I do realize some may equate Email Marketing as a particular tool within IM/MMO that is used to pursue particular sub niches in IM/MMO. But it is a Sub Niche also, imo

Here are more ---- sports (football, tennis), entertainment (movies), weight loss, diets, home business, making money, pets, green products.

To find specific product ideas, narrow your search, find related keywords, google those keywords, find and comment on related blogs and forums, choose ONE aspect from one area and focus on that. Also, check Clickbank and Commission Junction for ideas.

      Good luck!

    groceries and clothing.

Yes, you can get groceries online, or coupons for groceries.

    People buy clothes online.

Vitamins - lots of people in the health niche swear by vitamins.

There is tons more - but maybe this will get you going.

I've heard that three of the best examples of evergreen niches are health, wealth, and love/relationships. There are hundreds of unique subcategories within each of them, and lots and lots of products to promote. People are almost always looking to get healthier (weight loss, anti-aging, beauty treatments, fitness, bodybuilding, diseases and health conditions, etc.), to get wealthier (get out of debt, earn at home, invest, trade, etc.), and to improve their love life and relationships. If you just need a basic evergreen category to get you going, picking a subcategory of one of these three is a always a place to start.

I wrote a cookbook back in 2000 that has sold steadily
ever since. I sell both the print and ebook versions.

I've also sold greeting cards since 2005, and they have
been a steady seller... of course selling more of certain
    ones around the holidays.

I've sold web hosting since around 1998, and that is a
steady enough seller, that I recently purchased my own
    hosting company.

    Fairly simple.

Notice none of those are "how to make money products"
    though.

Think of anything that is going to stand the test of time - that's not just a passing fad or that won't become outdated soon.

For example: I create info products to help people make a living on the Internet. If I create a product that shows you how to use certain social sites, that product may be good for a few months but soon become outdated as the sites change (Not evergreen). But, those products I create that show someone how to research and create their own info products tend to stay relevant for many years (Evergreen).

The health niche is a gold mine... it's also one of the most competitive for just that reason.

Done right though it can make you a tidy regular income.

Start with what you buy online and why you buy it online. Ask your friends and family those same questions. That should help get the ideas flowing.

Hmmm... Gardening for guys, practical creativity, goal-getting, writing (various sub-topics), digital group dynamics, brainstorming, copywriting and grammar cops, off the top of my head.

There are many more topics that are evergreen than not.

One thing to remember is the fact that not all "Ever Green Niches" are profitable.

Many are always in demand but you have to locate the EGNs that people
are willing to pay for. They could be niches where people are in need of
    Help.

Others might be people that are trying to solve a problem where the info is
not readily available for free (Specialty type subjects such as automotive
diagrams, appliance schematics ...) to name a couple. You have to look at
what people need and then give them what they want/need.

    Hope that Helps,
    Have a Great Day!

Boots and anything women related. As long as women shop online ( and most online shoppers are women), any women related product would do well.

I've seen some great ideas on here. Thanks all.

To me evergreen products are ones the address core values or basic human desires. These types of desires never go out of style and people will constantly want to improve.

So the two most basic desires in todays world are related to either SEX or MONEY.

      Health & Wellness = sex
      Make-up = sex
boots, shoes, fashion, etc = sex
      IM = money
      forex = money

Now I'm not saying everything boils down to only these two topics but I'm just making a point about the nature of "evergreen".

I like picking niches that not only are evergreen but are what I call "unsolvable" niches.

There are some niches in which there is a problem the customer is trying to solve and there is no clear consensus on a solution.

That's good for marketers. And it's also good for marketers when the problem is hard or impossible to solve.

Example: back pain. Not even doctors fully understand the causes of back pain, and it's common knowledge that something like 80% of all back surgeries fail to cure the back pain.

That's a great market to sell to because they will almost always keep searching for solutions, which means you can keep offering them relevant, helpful information.

An evergreen product is basically anything that is timeless and isn't a short-term fad, and will appeal to basic human needs and wants. It's best to think in terms of broad niches, and then drill down from there. The three big evergreen categories are obviously Health, Wealth and Love.

Just to give you an easy example, diet and exercise are two big niches that fall under the Health category. Now, think of how "evergreen" this is - people have been worried about their diets and exercise regimens since time immemorial, and this is an ongoing concern that isn't going to go away anytime soon. There are so many sub-niches that you can drill down into with just these two niches alone.

The same applies to Health and Wealth - there are so many niches and sub-niches within those categories. One thing you could do to give yourself a creative kickstart is by going to the bookstore and browsing through the magazines. Pretty much every niche covered in these magazines is going to be evergreen.

My last online purchase was a Toneau cover for my pickup truck. Which means people buy all kind of stuff online

And according to my late father the two offline evergreen businesses are the pharmacy (people always get sick) and funeral services (people always die).

Like several people have already said, evergreen niches are things that rarely, if ever really change.

Think of it this way - if you picked up a book about the topic from 20, 30, even 50 years ago, would the information still be relevant? If so, it's evergreen.

Willie's example of a cookbook is a good one. I use cookbooks that are 50 years old and the food still tastes pretty good.

If I picked up a book about computers from 10 years ago (even 2 years ago, for that matter) it's not going to very accurate now.

Health can be an evergreen niche, but not always. How many fad diets have come and gone over the years? Those types of things aren't evergreen. But losing weight by eating right and getting exercise is.

Any market will have evergreen sub-niches and not-so-evergreen sub-niches.

    Kids and family.
    Cheap electronics

NERDY stuff! GEEK stuff. That is evergreen. I mean look how long

    ANIME has been around
    Superheroes
    Star Trek
    Star Wars
    LOTR

    Hit up some COSPLAY niches.
Make an instagram account, go online and find the best COSPLAY outfits and make a site selling cosplay items, how to sew, movie effects, etc.

That stuff never dies and fans love it still.

I always say FOLLOW THE NERD. You get the fads and the evergreen stuff all in one swoop.
They are all about new stuff but still pump out money for old stuff. NERDS also have money. So yes follow the NERDS.

Don't believe me? Check out Lindsey Stirling for example. She blew up with one big nerd song, doing a video game theme. Now she is worth millions. Not bad for a violinist who was told there is no market for her stuff.

Follow the nerd my son and you will prosper.

example Baby Care product (Baby Booster Seat), PC & Video Games (call of duty), Electronics (Lightning Cable Syncwire Apple iPhone Charger) etc

Some of the best evergreen niches that you should choose from are:

    weight loss and fitness
    make money online
    dating

Those are actually the 'big 3' of internet marketing. People are always looking to lose weight. People are always looking for ways to make more money online/on the side. And people are always breaking up and getting divorced.

Just saying....I hope that helps and best of luck!
