Hey guys,

I'm thinking about starting to hit some of the big conferences.

Do you know of a list of conferences that are good for meeting affiliates / JVs?

Conferences like Underground and Affiliate Summit...

      Yeah but you don't go for the conference, you go to meet other Imers.

      I would like to know what conferences have the highest quality attendees.

      Underground is a great one for example. Affiliate summit was good as well.

      Actually they're quite fun and you do learn a lot. It's not all sales pitches and hyped up nonsense, until you've tried it don't knock it.

      Anyone else have more to add to this list? Maybe I'll put together an updated site.

      Oh and forgot to add Canada Marketing Summit ... eek sorry Rob

      I'm amazed at how many people underestimate the power of networking.

      Let me ask you a question. What will your "brand new website" with "superb addons, and a gorgeous theme" do for you if it doesn't have any gorgeous traffic?

      To the OP: I have been missing out on many of these opportunities and I think it will change in 2011. Will keep up with this thread.

        You're right Mohammad.

        Time and time again when I ask other really successful IMers and online business owners what their biggest or most valuable source of traffic is they say: other IMers, bloggers or businesses.

        Where do you think you meet these guys? Conferences!

        If you're going to watch the speakers, save your money. If you're going to hang out at the back of the room and the bar to weed through the beginners, and sleazy markers to meet good people it can be very worth while.

        Again, can anyone recommend any good conferences for this?

          Well you can also utilize the power of the Internet Marketing video conference chats. Warrior Bill Platt holds one every Friday and Saturday night.

          It's pretty sweet and I get to meet new people pretty much every week.

          But I still want to go to a conference. I think being face-to-face in the real world is better than being face-to-face in a video chat. I still have to test out what works better.
