Copyscape Premium Checker Question

I outsourced an article to an author and checked the delivered piece using copyscape premium checker.

The word count of the article is 911 words and it matched with content placed at one online URL with the following message:

"Copyscape found the page below with 64 words matching 7% of the text"

This is the first time that I'm using this service so I don't know what to make of it? Is this what you would consider acceptable for a 900 word article (64 word match does seem like a low figure to me).

Should I ask for a revision or is the above result is expected?

Appreciate your inputs.

You should see a link there that says something like 'compare text'. When you click through you might find that the matching content is a generic sentence or two. Or you might see that the writer has quite clearly copied chunks from sentences; if that's the case then I'd be asking for a rewrite.

Not if it's 64 consecutive words. Or two lots of 32 consecutive words. That means a paragraph or two/three sentences need to be re-written/removed, surely?

64 words matching out of 900? I'd say that's not the same article, but I'd follow the link to see why that one turned up.

No they were a bit scattered here and there. The maximum I saw in consecutive order were three.

    Thanks for your input!

In that case I think I'd be inclined to ignore it completely. If there aren't any substantial clauses of sentences repeated, a search engine is going to treat it as "new content", anyway.
